that's the first thing i thought of. i don't know. sounds cool now, but might not have the lasting classic appeal. maybe they should name them the dodgers. haha.
yo, but for real, i am excited for an alternative to the knicks. finally, we'll be able to make a choice. no longer held hostage by that jerk dolan.
no offense but that goes against everything being a Knick fan means. Knick fans are DIE HARD world famous. We don't jump bandwagons!
\And no offense to you, Ive been a "die-hard" Knick fan since 1987, but at some point you have to come to your senses. James Dolan started running this team in the late 90's, and has done nothing but push fans away constantly. Why do the Knicks deserve to have die-hard fans care and continue to provide revenue? To support James Dolan's incompetency? Please. Bandwagon jumping is seeing a winner and going with that. It's not realizing that the top the the team that you love is being run by a Daddy's Lil' Loser who will forever doom the Knicks (and the Rangers) to mediocrity.
Don't do it, stick in there from one fan to another. Support the Knicks not Dolan! I was a Knick fan before Dolan took charge and I plan to still be a knick fan after he's been fired, burned in effigy and faded into oblivion. DIE HARD baby.
I don't support Dolan but the GUYS ON THE COURT. They are the Knicks, not Dolan and my love for them has shined as bright during these bad times as it did during the good.
There were times I promised myself that next season, no league pass for me but, then when the time come, I can't follow through. I love the blue and orange, the msg logo, the whole shebang.
sports, like life is about transition and we went from a good team on the bubble of greatness (ewings knicks) to worse than mediocrity. Eventually the Knicks will be on top again I will be able to say with pride (AND HOPE YOUR THERE WITH ME) that I never abandoned my team
Word. I had the same experience with the Giants. They slogged through a long stretch of mediocrity that eventually led to the magical 2007 season Super Bowl victory. The hard times made it all the more sweet. I'd imagine the Red Sox Nation had a similar experience when their team finally got over the top against the Yankees, especially doing it from down 3-0.
Bad that begets great > pretty good that begets great
