All too true. However even Chairman Dolan will eventually take a hit if the Downward Spiral continues. By becoming a public company Dolan will also be subject to more scrutiny if the company continues to be non-successful. The stock performance so far has remained relatively flat at best.

James Dolan is pretty much begging the majority or a big chunk of the fan base to jump ship to Brooklyn. He is the worst owner in sports. He needs to drink more and Isiah Thomas needs to take more sleeping pills.

Ban Roll-on

If you are still following the team and reading sites like this, there is nothing, short of your own demise, that is going to throw you off this train.

I wouldnt mind seeing Isiah coach these young guys. Guys like Jermaine O'neal loved him. He seems to co-exist with the young guys better.

Yeah, let's just make him coach, GM, and President of BB operations- Dolan's basketball version of the "Triple Play."

To much over reacting going on. Who the hell cares if Isiah is in the mix. I personally couldn't give a rats asz about him being back in the organization. I like the product that is currently on the Knicks and that is why I watch the Knicks. This is just fans being stupid, this has nothing to do with being a passionate Knicks fan. I think we all need to kill the noise and keep the focus on the Knicks players the positive of the season coming up. Concentrating on Management side is crazy. Isiah is in a consulting role which means he makes suggestions. Another thing is Dolan really feels that Isiah got a raw deal in the Anucha Brown thing, I tend to agree with that too.

The thing is he's a better coach than he is GM (not saying much!- but at least the players seem to respond to him), so I don't get why he's determined to make a come back as a GM rather than a coach.

you gotta be kidding me.. Isiah would destroy this team quicker than walsh put it together... Honestly, the best thing for me as a fan would be for Isiah and dolan to be shipwrecked on some remote island and found 20 years later...

so you are ok with this briggs... lets see how you feel when the knicks trade Anthony randolph, gallo and two future first round picks for Rashard lewis, and JJ reddick.... typical Isiah move....

This is overreaction to something that Isiah has no authority for. A consultant does not make the deal. Besides all GMs have a deal where they look bad on even Walsh. How many here are still not over the T-Mac deal.

i agree it's an overreaction. it would be one 1st-rounder and one switch of first-rounders.

I actually agree about the overreaction idea, and pretty much said the same thing when he was first hired, but there is more concern for alarm, now. My early position was that Dolan was just helping out a friend. The recent stories from Berman and Isola are troubling though, and have obviously led to the "noise" you refer to. I originally thought that they were just trying to attract some readers, but that old cliche- Where there's smoke there's fire can never be far from our minds when more and more stories are coming out.

If the stores columnists are throwing out to the public are true- then I think there could be cause to worry. Isiah being in a consultation role and offering ideas is one thing- giving him the power to act on his ideas is what scares everyone, and should be a legitimate cause for concern to anyone who is a fan.

I don't think he is OK with it- just realistic, and a bit fatalistic.

really? why is he even back when your prez of operations and others in the organization protested him comming back? If walsh quits or retires you can bet this snake becomes GM.. at which point, as a fan of 30+ years.. I am done!
