I guess we will have that FIU pipeline coming in now. Watch out!
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Its about finding the best talent and last time I checked there are a more than a few of Isiah's discoveries still making contributions in the league.

Talk of Isiah coming back and trading for Jeffries makes me wonder if the two are related.

Stupid azz Knicks organization is stuck in the past. Even with an improved roster we're having trouble moving forward.

Isiah is back and now Jeffries may return? This is a disgrace to fans of the Knicks and the people of New York.

I'm really feeling like this has negated some of the idea that the team has improved. So if he Zeke can't land Melo and/or Paul will he be truly banished from the organization? My worst fear in this situation is that they land one or both, Walsh retires and Dolan and Zeke try to make it seem like it was all because of Thomas, that Donnie laid the groundwork, but Zeke closed the deal. It makes more skin crawl ans stomach turn just to think about.

I will give this man 0 credit if we land another star. They're not going to come to the Knicks because of the failure known as Isiah Thomas. They're going to come because of Amar'e, Gallo, etc. The league is well aware of his stupidity and his gay smile.

Which star in his right mind would join the Knicks because of Isiah Thomas? What success stories does he have with this franchise that would warrant another player wanting to be here?

I wouldn't be shocked if Lebron James was going to join the Knicks up until the Isiah nonsense surfaced.

The day he was fired I told you he would be back. I tried to warn you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nobody would listen. One day you guys will realize that when Bip "warns" you of something, it is because he knows. One day.

I just hope that people will like me

I don't understand why Dolan would bring Isaih back unless alot of things that Isaih did was ordered by Dolan himself and Isaih took the fall. The word is that Isaih played a part in getting Startamare, and played a part in the Randolph deal. As long as he is only involved in finding talent, I have no problem. Also Chris Paul loves him. As a matter a fact Isaih is well respected among all the active players so if he can get us Paul I'd be happy.

from a Knick standpoint its a tough because he's so associated with the failure over the last few years, and he deserves credit for that. He's simply not good at building a team and he certainly isnt good at managing a salary cap or giving out NBA contracts. What he is good at is relating to young players and has proven to be a good talent evaluator. Balkman sucked and he blew the Frye pick, but Lee, Nate, Ariza and Chanlder were very solid especially considering the draft position and he did try to get Bynum as well for what its worth.

Dolan is loyal to 'his guys' which is why Isiah is around. Same with Allan Houston who is very close w/ Dolan.

I really dont care. So long as Walsh has final say I am comfortable. Remember Walsh and Isiah have their own history and if Walsh is using and trusting Isiah to evaluate young talent and scout players (especially now that he's coaching college ball) than I think thats a positive. Your asking Isiah to do the one thing he did well here.

Some of the comments are a bit over the top. Its weird. This is basketball and entertainment and sports. Some of the hate is just over the top.

He Andrew locked my post out. I thought that it was a good topic but hey he's the boss.

Isiah was a bad coach and GM. He made lots of mistakes. I'm just wondering if he was able to pull off getting Melo and Paul by December in some way. What would you think of him and would you forgive him or just tell me what would you do or think.

Maybe that is it! A brilliant strategy. This is what happens....

1. Donnie starts negotiating and gets close but can't close the deal.
2. He has Isiah step in.
3. Donnie tells Isiah which players to ask for - these are the players Donnie really wants.
4. Isiah proposes a new deal.
5. The other GM, thinking that this new offer is from Isiah, grabs it immediately, knowing Isiah's past history as one of the worst GM's and traders in the league.
6. And so the deal closes and we get Anthony Randolph, Turiaf, Azubuike, for a FA David Lee, who could have just walked and we would have gotten nothing.
7. Brilliant Donnie. Well done!

If everyone likes the moves that we made so far, it's partly due to Isiah. Even the draft picks we've had all this time he's been "gone" have had his input. Really the only difference is the "official" statement. He's really been here all along.

In the end this has nothing to do with us as fans. If Dolan has no problem with all the stuff Isiah did and allowed under his direction, I guess he approved. He did in fact sign off on all of Isiah's moves. He backed Isiah in the Anucha case. I mean Dolan is the one that really bares the blame. Only he can't be fired.

I wouldn't forgive Isiah even if he delivered Kobe to us. 5 years of watching Edina, Malik Rose, Madeinchinabury and Meatloaf cannot be forgiven.
