A question: If you were Shannon Brown, would you want to re-sign with the Champion Lakers Team and live/play in LA or come to the Knicks who have been disfunctional for the entire decade. Yes, we are rebuilding, but we aren't there yet.
What is with you guys? Do you not recognize that this man has done this for years to great effect. His teams in PHX weren't tired!!!! They got beat, but it wasn't from fatigue. He actually has some bad luck that may have been part of the reason he didn't make the finals a couple of times.
Tell me how tired are you if you win 62 games and get the WCF's? Obviously not tired enough to lose the 1st 2 playoff rounds. There are plenty of opportunities over the course of a season to get players rest. I expect he'll go with a 8-9 man rotation which is just fine.
To start off , there is nothing wrong with me. Second, I pushed for a 9 man rotation last year when we had guys who can play sitting on the bench. Guys like Duhon played far too many minutes when they weren't producing. Also, by playing Duhon so much, he was hurt, and playing hurt. When you have all-stars like Nash, you give them extra time. But we didn't have that last year. That was the time to use the bench more and run. How many times did you see Duhon walk the ball up.
This year, we are in a similar position. We have a lot of equally talented young players, but no superstar except for Amar'e, and we want to be a little careful on pushing him too far, so we preserve his knees.
It is really simple. When you have a starting lineup of star/solid players, you have play a shorter rotation. When you don't, but you do have a lot of equally talented players with a stron bench, you open up the rotation.
The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense.
