Good one!
+1... Sounds like something Frazier should have said.
For all you kids at home watching, always be sure to keep that imaginary plane between you and the 14 year old girl.
We caught 2 students having sex in a very out of sight stairwell/walkway in our school. Unfortunately, the two kids failed to notice the security camera, and our security guards picked them up.
As soon as the relative ages of the kids was determined- he was 18...she was either 14 or 15, we had to call in the police and the boy was arrested.
Did Curry get in trouble when this happened originally, or was there a lawsuit to get money from him afterward? There would be no $ 600 G settlement between a HS kid and a statutory rape victim at the time it happened, and damages come from civil suits, not criminal suits, I would think.
Maybe it would have been better off for him if he had done some time at 18- might have made him appreciate things more. He would not have gotten drafted where he did and he might have had to work to get into the NBA. Instead he had everything handed to him like the big platter of hamburgers or chicken he probably has for a snack every now and then.
For what it is worth, and I don't want to be seen as defending Curry- who seems to be a pretty dumb fool, and a guy who deserves anything that comes down on him these days- but I look at a statutory rape between consenting HS students much differently than something like the Roman Polanski rape, where he was in his 30s(?) and she was underage. It is not the rape, as much as the failure to understand the ramifications of not paying a debt that upsets me.
