Boston is missing from this picture, unless you're delusional.

In any case, I think we're a lock for the 7th seed.
1. MIAMI
2. ORLANDO
3. BOSTON
4. CHICAGO
5. MILWAUKEE
6. CHARLOTTE (bold prediction here)
7. NEW YORK
8. WASHINGTON

With the moves Toronto is making, I see them in the mix more than Charlotte.

Toronto has:

Calderon / Jack
DeRozan / Barbosa
Kleiza / ...
Diaw / Ed Davis / Reggie Evans
Bargnani / Amir Johnson

Cha is not making the playoffs. They lost their starting PG and one of their best rotation guys in Diaw. Of all the starters Diaw had the best +/- but let such things get in the way of your predictions.

Also I dont get Wash. They have some decent young bigs but McGee is still extremely raw and plays pretty far away from the basket. Meanwhile Hinrich, Arenas and Wall all play the same position.

I'm putting Washington in there. Arenas can shift over to the SG position and Wall can do the pg duties. Small setback for them is that Blatche had surgery. McGee is a very athletic Center. That back court is very capable of creating easy shots and can score also.

I can only imagine the mouth frothing hate that would spew if we get Arenas and tried to play him at SG. Yet for Wash its a positive. Please...

blizzards can do what they want, however i cant tell you the quite a few of the fans want gilbert gone. and they hope its the knicks who get him. and its not cuz they like the knicks...

GO TEAM VENTURE!!!!!

the entire NoVA area wants Gilbert gone... they got no choice but to play him... what are they gonna do, buy out the rest of his $80M contract? anyway, since when is acquiring guys with severe behavioral issues & albatross contracts just to sneak into a #8 seed in the playoffs a good thing? oh yeah, that's what we've been doing for the past 6 years... hehe, my bad.

The Wiz fans shouldn't be wishing for us to get a scorer like Arenas. Not that I want him, cuz I don't, but you give MDA a guy like him and he'll make great use of him. This team is so much more balanced now than in the past. It's hard to predict how good we'll be, cuz the team is so new. What I believe tho is that when you add an All Star PF and a solid Pure PG that defends up the middle of your team it's gonna lead to a lot more wins.

What this team will be able to do is put a lot of pressure on other teams to deal with our attack and pace. Our ENTIRE TEAM is fast. Realize that both Felton and TD were two of the fastest guys in there drafts. The other players we have including AR can all get up the floor in a split second. We really never saw this team play the SSOL offense cuz we didn't have the PG to run it and other parts of the team didn't fit. This team is more in line with what you want to have in order to play this style. The added defensive length and height will also be a boost. Don't know about the rebounding just yet tho. Still I think we'll be FAR more efficient and that's what could get us into the 5-6 range in the playoffs.

If all goes average with some good luck by adding a PG from a playoff team and the best post player from another playoff team along with adding some size and skill gets us a 5-6th seed and a hard fought first round battle with a team like the Hawks

If the Knicks have any significant bad luck for example if Stoudemire gets injured, we still have a solid PG and a lot of size to keep us in games. We won 30 games last year with no size and no PG. We could still hover around .500 in such a scenario

I like thyis man's thinking

"We are playing a game. We are playing at not playing a game..."

i'll tell u right now, the Wizards fans would be happy to take back a future conditional 2nd round pick protected to 60 if we'd take Arenas' contract off their hands.

There are 6 teams in the East who barring injury are LOCK playoff teams. In no particular order.....

Miami
Orlando
Boston
Chicago
Atlanta
Milwaukee

We have as good a chance as anyone else though to contend for one of the final 2 spots
