Brown's system really makes PG's look like crap and it didn't help that Charlotte has awful shooters around Raymond.

Yeah, Chauncey Billups really looked crappy with Detroit and so did Mark Jackson in Indiana and Eric Snow in Philadelphia and Rod Strickland in San Antonio lol Felton is a solid, average starting PG. If he comes here, his spot will be the one first most people will point to and say can be upgraded.

Unfounded?

I really don't know much about the guy. Don't even recall him impressing me when we faced him.

*shrug*

Anyone got the REAL scoop? (not a homer or hater scoop, an unbiased one)

this is the furthest thing from the truth.

Felton is one of the top 5 fastest and quickest players in the NBA. He is really explosive. I was shocked he didnt do better after being drafted. I have not been a big fan of his in the NBA. He wasnt bad, he just didnt seem to do anything very impressive.

What I like:
There is definatly upside here. The guy is SICK fast and in an uptempo offense where he is free to be a ball hawk and run run run there is a good chance we see the STAR potential many thought he would be after being drafted

His opponents EFG% is an excellent .486
By comparison: Rondo .496%, Stephen Curry .521, Deron Williams .471

So on defense he keeps his man in front of him forcing more jumpers and gets a ton of steals.

What I dont like:
He's 6'0 with shoes on and has a 6'3 wingspan. He's a very small player. He's a streaky shooter and I havent seen him in this kind of offense since his college days

I think this is OK for us... he's a heady player and he could really blossom in this offense with this coach.

He's a HUGE upgrade from anything we have had so far

Bound to happen. Obviously they've been rebuffed in their efforts to acquire Collison or others and they feel it is the best available option. Can't say I disagree.

If Toney falters D''Antoni may ride Felton long like he did Duhon. Pull Rautins up and give him a look. It's all about options and for TD to start he has to show on the court he's the best thing for the leader position. Don't think it will be an issue but ...d'Antoni is feeling a bit jittery now. He heard the boo's at the end of the year.

When your a player giving it all and holding 2 a days on your own; you can be sure the fans noticed when the lights are bright. When you hold 45 minute practices ...get scored on over 90 a night well the only guy to look at now is the coach, you may not have your first coice...but you chose them.

Whose to say maybe they use two PG's sometimes That would be a fast lineup with Felton and TD on the floor. Situationally of course. You cannot win the title I don' think with just one...or did the Lakers? Farmar is/was available and I have seen nothing of him in any trade rumors. Our team height is approaching Boston's? seems to me...perhaps we are faster? With this lineup...unless they bring back Nate

Felton is a good point guard....if you want a better pg you are talking about deron, Parker, Paul, etc....

We gotta stop chasing big names. Just cuz the Guy hasn't been blessed with good teamates or a system that fits them doesn't me they suck. he's a good pick up and will excel in D'antoni offensive.

My take? He's Chris Duhon with speed, stamina, handle, drive ability and a jumpsuit from inside the 50ft mark.

Knicks got better.

Felton is a good move if it doesn't work out we can move him and if he does work out we don't need Parker, we only have one more move to make Carmelo he's coming here I have no doubt if not during the season in a trade then after the season.

remember him running the show at UNC? this offense is very similar - he fits the pick and roll, he commands the offense, and he's a solid 3point shooter . i'd be ECSTATIC with this move to be honest...

PG - Felton
SG - Chandler
SF - Gallo
PF - AR
C - Amar'e

that is a very solid team.

Felton's agent Tony Dutt says client has agreed in principle to sign with NYK. Contract won't be longer than 3 yrs & still being worked on.

I LOVE this if it's only 3 years.

damn dude, this is serious. donnie walsh gets a B+ from for this offseason. I mean you honestly could give him an A or higher ONLY if he got lebron or wade, but since he didn't he has made 2 excellent and i mean EXCELLENT moves. this is awesome!

3 excellent moves (Amare, Randolph, short deal for Felton) plus a few minor good ones (S&T for Amare getting a 2nd and 800k space, getting Jordan for 1mm)

I just don't get why he hasn't "arrived" in the NBA?

F - Randolph

G - Douglas
G - Walker
F - Azubuike
F - Turiaf
C - Jordan

G - Rautins

well the last 2 years he's played for larry brown and larry brown pg's are very restricted in what they do. when i say this offense is tailor-made for him, i mean it. it is the same exact offense he ran at unc. if he doesn't average 18pts/9assists, i'd be beyond baffled.

it was up and down the same way, UNC was scoring 100+ points a game. they were nasty and roy wililams let felton do his thing.. he was going coast to coast.
