I am sure if the knicks worked him out and watched video they had to see these things.. I know this is summer league, but this kid can be a problem for any NBA player that has to guard him, and we thought rautins was a better prospect than him? wow... rautins better tear the SL up in order for me to feel good about this...
I also watched Lance and although he is strong, quick and can handle the ball and pass, those are things I already know he can do. Unless I see him consistently knock down Js, especially in spot up situations, I'm not going to go crazy about not picking him. I mean, we've been waiting for Sebastian Telfair to develop a J for how many years? Lance will be a borderline NBA player unless he improves his J.
Did he actually hit a jump shot the past two days? Did not even try a 3. On D I would lay off of him until he proves he can hit a jumper. Give him credit for compensating for his shooting weakness by going to the basket so often, but eventually he has to learn to be consistent on his shot.
Nice passer, pretty resourceful in this aspect. He seemed to see the floor pretty well- I did not see the "tunnel vision" DraftExpress talked about. Saw a nice behind the back pass when he was he was stopped going to the basket. Got stuffed going to the basket one time, but he was usually resourceful in getting off shots when he drove to the basket.
Don't think he can stay in front of a quicker PG from what I saw. (Rautins, of all people, was quicker than him in the agility test.)
Probably better for him that he started his career outside of NYC- fewer distractions.
