OK this is the right step in the right direction. If Lebron comes to New York we still need pieses to fill this team. Curry just may be the key if he wants a pay check after this year. I'm glad to see players signing contracts and not waiting on Lebron.

We haven't heard a peep about him going anywhere so far. He has been too busy eating candy in Christmas. He now stands to get marginalized very quickly, watch fro rumors of him running to Miami to start soon.

i feel like mostly we have heard him going to miami or chicago...even houston...and basically wants to follow wade or lebron...

This is huge - and for anyone who doubted MDA, I am willing to bet Amare wouldn't be here without that connection.

I have a feeling a second MAX FA is on the way - hopefully it will be James because that would make this pretty special. Either way I think the Knicks did the best they could to get themselves into a position where they have a compelling argument.

I could run the pick and roll with Amare, and I've got two bum knees and a glass eye.

$100mil no one else would offer to him but us.

If LeBron comes I'll punch you in the face.

Either way, I win.

I know what you look like and I definitely can take you with ease. Too quick for you son.

There will be 3-way trade options. A lot of teams want lee, or we can find a 3rd partner using chandler, douglas, and cap relief.

knixkik

If this ends up trading off Lee--well what can I do. BUT I hope the Knics are smart enough IF they deal with a GS to make SURE that GS throws in Randolph with ells--they want Ellis gone and we NEED a C and Randolph IMHO is going to be a GREAT nba 5 for a long time.

If there is no way of getting parker, i can deal with ellis and randolph for lee. But my questions are, can randolph defend at the center position long term, and is ellis good enough as a P&R player for amare?

I like this signing but if we don't get a PG then we are in trouble. I preferred Bosh because he can score by himself regardless of the PG he is playing with.

We need to get a play maker at a guard position. Andre Miller comes to mind.

We haven't had this type of BEAST since Patrick Ewing. Amar'e Stoudemire is just a monster. A BEAST. His game and personality are perfect for New York. He has that John Starks, Charles Oakley, Ewing, Latrell Sprewell-like attitude and swagger. Let's just hope he stays healthy.

PF: Danilo Gallinari
SF:
C: Amar'e Stoudemire
SG: Wilson Chandler
PG: Toney Douglas

Someone is missing ... C'mon LeBron!

Great to have him. This isn't exactly Jerome James. Amare is a force with serious bball skills and athleticism and even size. The best? NO, but he's a guy that will automatically make us better, with or without LeBron. Next up, wait on LeBron, if not him, then it's time to put the bball skills to work, by the front office. Go for the Lees, and Millers of the world and maybe try and get Anthony Randolph or Okafor.

Nice team--who exactly is getting rebounds? Did you watch the Lakers with Gasol and Bynum on one leg kill Phoenix inside.

I prefer amare to bosh because he can make the playoffs. Bosh had a good enough team and he couldn't do it. He's overrated. We will find a solid point guard. Miller might be a very good option, but i'm holding out hope for parker, a proven winner who is still young and hungry.

I'm actually a fan of Colin Cowherd, more than most of the ESPN guys, but if you want basketball insight, Colin is not the guy to listen too. He's about as good as Mike Francesca in that department.

I agree dude he's pretty good with other sports but I hate him on the NBA and he clowns the Knicks all the time on and Mike Francesca I cannot stand either when it comes to the NBA. I'm not crazy about Michael Kaye either people call and give a valid point and he starts tearing them down right away it gets old real fast.

I am actually a Michael Kay fan too. I find myself agreeing with him a very large portion of the time, and he does have a basketball background.
