but only way we can grab parker is to trade eddy curry or lee for him. Which means we can only sign Amare,Parker, and s8 up sign melo next season. Even though i think Amare,Dirk are ideal players for Dantoni at C/PF they are what they are, they are weak bodies for centers. Not sure how many more years Dirk has in him b4 he declines but his game was never based on speed, agility, athleticism.
If we sign Amare, are we looking for a center ideal for Dantoni or a body like Haywood? We have to decide if we want Lee or not fast, because someone will at least give him 12+m a year starting salary. He wont wait for us to decide. If not can we sign lebron, wade, bosh, dirk? those are the only other players I would see MAX for. Dont like boozer or JJ. Ill rather try to add cheaper talent like shannon brown at 4m a year and koufous at cheap deals. Then save enough salary for a max FA next year when Curry expires. But if we go that road, we wont have a MLE. If we trade Curry for a servicable player with a longer contract we gain the MLE. DOnt 4get that Chandler will be a RFA as well, so we might to decide between the Max for next year or keep chandler as well? Cause we have his bird rights but if we sign a max can we still match the offer? I wonder if Denver would take chandler/curry/ 1st round pick from better of the rocket/knicks deal and another 2nd rounder.
I would jump at that deal so we can gain the MLE next year to add to the roster.
