not to be mistaken with letting a slew of bikers gangbang you in an alleyway which, confusingly enough, is also called pulling a DJ.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing...I'm saying it probably wasn't enough.

do you really think though that the presentation just stopped there?

No, I know it didn't. I just wanna know what they talked about for almost 3 hours where afterwards, H2O is telling reporters he wasn't sure if Lebron was impressed or not and that Lebron offered little feedback at the end. Is there anyone out there besides me that's willing to admit that some of these points are fair points??? Damn..LOL!

Just to be clear though -- you're not concerned at all that it was reported that the 'methodology' wasn't clear on exactly how that program crunched those numbers and came to those conclusions? Is that fair to say? Man I am..Remember that's the big thing I read that I immediately questioned...I mean if I'm LeBron, that's my first question: How did you arrive at those numbers? Explain it to me...Hopefully they had people onhand to explain it thoroughly, otherwise to me at least, it wouldn't ring true...Now that, together with the Knicks so-so/barren roster and limited avenues & resources to address the problem are a big concern....ALL I'M SAYING...Believe me I fully understand that LeBron basically all by himself makes us a 50-win team -- I've said as much many times before myself. It doesn't win championships though, doesn't even gaurantee you a trip to the finals even--just look at Cleveland the last two years. We also lost out on Steph Curry who would've helped us out big-time right about now (he's a friend of LeBron and a good player---we should made the trade up to get him and didn't), haven't made a trade to improve the outlook so far this off-season, got nothing of any real importance in this year's draft and won't have good drafting positioning the next two years (definitely in 2012 when we don't even have a pick). Plus now, there maybe no gaurantee that we get Lebron the big second piece that he needs...Can you at least see why I'm worried a little bit?

perhaps this is why Walsh expects there to be a follow-up meeting?? your guess is as good as mine. i would be concerned about the methodology if the info was coming from some no-name source, but my guess is that these guys know a little something about doing these studies.

i would have to think that they could explain this stuff to him, however, do we know if an interbrand rep was at the meeting? if not, i don't expect donnie, allan, MDA and especially jim dolan to explain it. maybe lebron did ask "how did they work this out?" and maybe donnie's response was "if you wanna know, we can set up a follow up meeting with a rep from interbrand."

ultimately, i recognize that the little tidbit about the presentation being light on methodology might be cause for concern. they probably left the techno-geek algorithm stuff out and kept it light. however if lebron wants to get his nerd on, i hope they oblige him.

mostly you are just complaining that the Knicks didn't include you into the details of the presentation? I mean, that's what it amounts to LOL

Not that these things are top secret, but they are kinda proprietary. I mean, have you heard of ANY of the other teams talking about the details of what they presented?

No but I heard what our very own Allan Houston had to say...Isn't that enough?

Right, and I'm pissed I wasn't part of the meetings...OK buddy..LOL. I'm a concerned life-long Knicks fan. Plain and simple..

@Finest: regarding allan houston's remarks -- i saw some video of his post-meeting comments, he didn't seem stunned. he looked pretty content. it's on ESPN. you know what really hit me though? D'Antoni looked like he just came in his pants. dude was looking very upbeat after that meeting.

The mention of methodology is just journalist crap. Of course they're not gonna break down all the details at that meeting. This is the kind of thing you show and expect that a FA will ask for more details on. You don't want to slow the whole meeting down with boring technical details.

Now as for the rest of the meeting. My guess is that they covered every aspect of interest that Lebron would have. The current roster, the plan for improving that roster beyond adding him, the organization, the city and suburban life, schooling for kids, etc. This isn't the 1st time this organization has done this and they have tons of guys behind the scenes who have given input into this presentation which they've planned for over 2 years.

Dolan may be a clown, but he knows about making boatloads of money and i'm sure that actually helps. I'm sure more details will eventually come out.

oooh...quite a number of digs at your friendly neighborhood dj the past few days.

it's all good...i can understand there is a very real fear the knicks will get nobody and many of you will be left without knowing what to do. literally at a crossroads in your basketball viewing experience. we're talking nervous like mc hammer at an ATM nervous.

at least the yankee fans have someplace else to turn to...but those that aren't need an outlet. i'll be that guy b/c i'm good like that.

bring it on and best of luck...lebron could still be a knick by the time the weekend is over so keep hope alive.

I would enjoy that more than what they put on Knicks Night Live last nite. I know it would be crazy but imagine if a team would do something like that in some pieces. That's what I hope the Knicks would be doing with their MSG spots for the FA period. At the very least parts of their strategy on the plane and out of the meeting. I think that would be a great ratings get. Follow the team reps from city to city. I think ESPN was going to do something like that with A-Rod a number of years ago when he hit free agency. I can't recall if they actually did it though.

For some reason this reminds me of the ending of the Dark Knight. All I need now is an image of you running out of MSG with angry Knick fans chasing you.

So, was just watching the NBA channel. David Aldridge reported that the Knicks presentation was mostly basketball-related, not focused just on LeBron's financial opportunities. He said this was a good thing. Just wanted to mention.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I saw that too and thought that was pretty much garbage. I think the way the Knicks win is by convincing Lebron he makes more money with the Knicks and NY than anywhere else.

Lebron has stated he wants to be a billionaire. That isn't some idle comment.

If LeBron doesn't understand why he needs to be in New York he doesn't need to be here.

Well, I think Aldridge's point was that if they wind up making it all about the money, what does it say about basketball in New York? They wanted to make it clear that he would be successful on the court, as well. I think LeBron is well aware of the financial opportunities.
