Well, that's true. Or we could get one max guy first year, and another the following year (aka Melo) due to the $18mil coming off for Curry and JJ. When it comes to this sort of rebuild, moving Fishlips now was our best bet. We're all in and it's time to show the cards in 5 weeks. Yippeee.

I would sign Lebron and go for a big - then next year I would go for Melo to be his sidekick (once Curry is off the books)

Melo doesn't work cap-wise with LBJ and Bosh on the roster. But it's always fun to dream big.

Go ask Scottie Pippen Kenny Andersen etc..why you would NEVER do that. Because if something goes foul--not only will they not give you 32mm they wont give you .032

not everyone is driven by that money and that lifestyle. A lot of great players arent. Not every NBA player is an idiot with their money and there are lots of things that factor into it beyond contract.

Hell... say I make 100k to commute from NJ to the city every day. I would gladly take 75k to work 5 minutes from my house. That means a crappy car, smaller 401k, I have to mow my own lawn instead of paying landscapers and I cant retire until I am 68 instead of 64. You know what? Sign me up because it means more time with my kids, being for dinner every night and never missing a little league game. My daughter got a double the other day and I missed it because I was on a train.

Not everyone thinks the bottom line is the most important thing in life.

Being rich basketball star in NYC means something more than it means in other places. There are a lot of factors here that go way beyond year six. I would bet the only ones that care about year 6 are the agents because they get a cut

congrats on your daughter's double fish...ya douche!

I don't know what a "double fish" is, but sounds frightening.

Lebron has no one. His team was terrible. Derek Fisher hits the big shot everytime. Who on the Cavs can do that?? The Lakers have a team that could win 45 games without Kobe. Lebrons 25 would be a stretch. You want to put Lebron on a team with one allstar in his prime. AJ/MW those guys have no balls when it counts.

Something people don't take into account.

Paul Pierce against Lebron
13.5pts 35%

vs. ORL 24.3 51%
vs. MIA 19.6pts 46%

So the guy locked Bostons best offensive player down and carried the load. He got a team that Kobe wouldn't have gotten to the playoffs to the NBA finals.

Then why do people say we have less talent then the cavs without labron

Actually, I think we have more talent. Gallo is a better 3 pt shooter than anyone on the CAVs. Chandler is better than Parker or West. Lee is better than Verajo. While Mo Williams is more accomplished, Douglas is not going to disappear in big games like Williams has the past two years. And, Shaq is pretty much done. When you figure we can probably get some Vets for cheap to come here and play with Lebron, I think we could put a better team around him than the Cavs in just one offseason. In fact, if Bosh comes with Lebron, his supporting cast would already be better than what he has with the Cavs.

Trust the Process

Its a funny comment about Knick Fans in Miami- but its probably true.

And I can't believe Stern would rather have Lebron in Cleveland than NY- because every Knick road game with Lebron would likely generate 1000+ more ticket sales than a similar road game with the Cavs & Lebron. Not to mention what the ratings would look like with the Knicks & Lebron vs. the cavs & Lebron.

I'm sure when looked at like this, Stern probably secretly does want Lebron in NYC. The benefit to every other team in the league far outweighs the suffering & hurt that the Cavs would feel.

That makes sense. But the Fans must be Patient because we will need 3 healthy superstars to get it done just a long a LeBron is the alpha male.

yea.. its the first objective article I have ever read on this topic.

Just goes to show the length and patience in Walsh's plan(s). They have literally been crunching this for 2 years. Its going to be a VERY interesting draft. We are going to be buying a lot of picks I think and sending them here there and everywhere.

I don't think that D'Antoni is the man for the job. First we need a couple of kick ass guys on the team and all we have now is ***** cats. We need a bully who can do what Orlandos center did to Glen Davis.

If MDA can get a team to the WCF, why can't MDA get it done with say, Lebron, Bosh & Gallo as the main components. I'll take my chances with a talented starting 5 and MDA.

As for adding a tough guy to bang, DW isn't going to drop the ball if we actually get Lebron to come. He'll do whatever he can to fill out the rest of the roster with players that can help us get over the top. DW has already built a team in the past that had enforcers on it.
