No need for him. Would rather keep focused on building frontline and going after LBJ. If No LBJ then I will fill my roster with the best 1 year rentals that I can and go after carmelo. Joe Joihnson should not be a Knick --i mean what is the difference between 13 and 15--it still takes up too much cap space. I just pass.

A 5 year, $65M contract starts Joe Johndson at about $11M. Big difference from $16.8M MAX contract.

His creativity with the ball is lacking. With Jump shooter sometime a a hand in the face is all you need and in the playoffs the intensity goes up and he couldn't handle that intensity. I say Pass on Johnson don't even bother to bring him in not worth the money even if LeBron wants him. Chandler is better IMHO he is more versatile better defensively and more explosive next year Chandler gives you 18-20 points per game.

Joe Johnson has great handle. His issue is he moves like Ron Artest.

Interesting how you acknowledge a player has a problem and shows major red Flags yet you'll still clamor for them. Dude is playing like an Old Man. He 2 series to show what he has Top/Premium value in this league and he floundered big time.

I have stated my view numerous times on Joe Johnson already. If we hadnt trade our future picks I would have preferred tanking and doing a natural rebuild. Since we traded the picks there is no incentive to be bottom feeders for the next 2 yrs. Therefore Im all aboard for any guys that will at least get us to the playoffs for the next 2 yrs.

This is akin to you dumping a nice looking woman with Potential. Suggestions arise that you go after say someone like Alicia Keys. Only for you to say Alicia keys isn't that hot because you see Around The Way Girls like her in the Hood everyday, you're looking for something better. You end up settling for a woman slightly better than the one you gave up, who is missing a lot of what you like in a woman and isn't better than Alicia Keys nor clearly better than any of the ones in the hood. LOL @ CAN I BUS

I'd rather go the Golden State Warrior route and comb the D-League. Make smart decisions with the money instead of treading waters on Maxing Out a talent like Joe Johnson. Let Gallo and Chandler be our cornerstones until we acquire our assets back.

The Knicks need leadership

Leaders don't shoot 23 per cent when it matters, stay quiet on the sidelines, avoid responsibility and the turn around and whine at the fans

Wowwww.. Its land slide... THE "NO's" have spoken in this poll. Joe Johnson is a good piece to add on a good team, but he is not a MAX PLAYER! HE CAN NOT BE EXPECTED TO CARRY A FRANCHISE.. in fact he may have played himself by not resigning with Atlanta for that extention. After these playoffs who would dare sign him for more than 14-16 mil per on a 4yr deal? Charles Barkley even said it matter of factly!!! JOE JOHNSON IS NOT A MAX PLAYER!!!

I'd rather have Rudy Gay personally

Realistically, their are only 4-5 players in the league that deserve the max. Doesn't mean Joe wont get paid max dollars. Bad teams need to overpay to pull good players away from good situations. We are a bad team so its possible we will be in the market for him. Does he desrve the max? No. Will he probably got a max deal or very close to one, probably.

here's a better poll:

Who wants Joe Johnson at anything over $10M per?

Here's a better poll:

Who wants a better starting lead guard than Chris Duhon?

Who wants a 6'11 starting center who plays like Serge Ibaka?

Who wrote the Book of Love?

I'd be happy if Johnson is one of two signings, yes.

That said, I am on the Ray Allen bandwagon. If the Knicks can get him for 3 years a $24 million--FUCK YES

Yeah this would be more palatable. Besides Joe Johnson is thinking about the Miami Heat right now.
