Hopefully, looking at them is more of a smoke screen to reduce Kahn's hypertension re: Rubio. He's our real target, and it's safe to say we are going to have to part with Chandler to get it done. That's fine with me. I have been calling for a Wil for Rubio deal from the get go.

Rubio needs to be on this team. Minny has a mini-stud in Flynn, they might get Wall (long shot) and they really don't need to waste Ricky's special skills in the triangle offense. He is a natural fit for MDAs system, so let's PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get this done.

Kahn has ZERO incentive to give away Rubio for Chandler. They have multiple picks this year so a SF is not a need for them.

keeping his job might qualify as incentive. if rubio's camp says they'll never come over to the t'wolves and they get absolutely nothing for that draft pick, kahn will look like a fool. at some point, he has to be expected to add some wins for the t'wolves. at that point, he might become a little more willing to deal.

TD is not going to be a better PG than Jennings. Even I am not drinking that much koolaid. TD is a solid 3rd guard and I like his ability to produce in the 4th quarter, but he would have to make a Billups-type leap to turn into a better PG than Jennings.

UH I didn't write that TD would be a better PG. The distinction is that I said better for "OUR NEEDS". TD is a better defender and his offensive skills are good enough IMO. He's not the best passer but I think he can improve. My point was that TD was a good pick where we got him. If we're keeping score on his drafting he has to get points for that pick. I think DW is gonna make every effort to get value in this draft.

McHale kept his job after several years of having to forfeit picks and put up lousy teams with an all-star power forward on the team. Taylor is in the mold of Sterling. Wins are great but breaking even matters more.
