I could throw this out to seem pretentious...

Etymology: Middle French, from Italian paladino, from Old French palatin, from Medieval Latin palatinus courtier, from Late Latin, imperial official — more at palatine
Date: 1592
1 : a trusted military leader (as for a medieval prince)
2 : a leading champion of a cause

...but to be honest, the name is from the show Have Gun Will Travel, an old western.

55 is from the year I was born, and at least for this year, my age.

So it goes...

And here I am thinking it had something to do with the short lived show, Firefly.

I'm disappointed.

When I was young I had a toy soldier collection--thousands of those little green guys--if we werent flipping cards or playing sports--we were playing soldiers. My two main guys were Johnny Quilson and Matt Briggs. I used it for my Yahoo handle many years ago and I think my little brother may have signed in on my handle and said something wrong somewhere because it no longer exists.

Damm, someone older than Marv!!!!!

Sebby, I think my inception date is time I made the switch. So I go back about as long as you do.

This place is fun. Can't believe its been 6-7 years. When they win, will we still hang here? Its like our collective misery circle jerk forum.

I miss Bonnie. Wonder if he still roams the planet. Dido? IslesFan? Hardcore? Its all changed. DJs section reports were epic.

I actually just like the name.

My first Knicks game was against the Bulls and Ewing hit a deep fade away from the baseline somehow just glancing off the glass to win the game.

Solace: My state of mind after reading one of Bippity's posts. Ahhh...
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Ramtour is a brand of golf balls. It was one of the first things that caught my eye when i was making up my first handle ever, for aol. A good friend let me live at his place for a while and he used to play golf. 420 is stoner slang for "time to bake"

Yeah, I am sad he left but both brothers will continue to make music - will it be as good? Who knows, but I will continue to support them. Been a fan since 94.
