Crawful sucked while he was here.
In his defense he's not good enough to carry a team as a top option - which he had to try to do here because we sucked so bad.
Yet, again, he sucked here.
That's why he got criticized. Simple stuff here.
Meanwhile he found a good spot in Atlanta and has helped them off the bench. He is going to get the 6th man of the year award. Good for him.
However you take him off Atlanta and put him back here and he's instantly thrust right back into a starting role and a top scoring option and he'd go right back to bricking away and throwing the ball away and we'd continue to lose.
Players that need a perfect setting aren't very good players. However the perfect setting can help a player excel and that's what is happening now.
Nice to see but let's not make some big deal out of it. He didn't do it here. He couldn't do it here. Dumping him was one of the happier days of the past two years for me as a fan. Ditto for Zach, Jeffries, Nate, and even Hill. Good riddance.
These were bad teams JCraw was on
What the devil kind of knick fan are you ?
The kid JCraw had ups and downs but he was ALL HEART in NY and made more big shots in past 2-3
yrs than anyone on D'Antoni can do current stints as Knick Coach.
JCraw didnt get into trouble here and was well liked.
Its cool you dont care for him but to throw him under the bus like he was a nobody is too harsh
brother
I'm surprised by that with all the MESS of Knicks which has been in here since Ewing left

So, Crawford played like trash....because the teams he was on were trash?
Doesn't say much for the player does it?
Star players (of which Jamal's fans think he is) play well regardless of their environment.
Jamal doesn't. He's simply not a very good player. He needs the perfect environment and the perfect role in order to excel. He's found it and that's good. But again you put him back here right now and he turns right back into CRAWFUL.
The fact that this guy has a huge fanboy following is down right mystifying. I can only chalk it up to young people growing up on AND-1 basketball and having no clue what basketball is really about. The theme where you could be down 50 points in a game but if you do a wicked crossover and brick a shot everyone screams "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!" at the crossover like they're at Rucker Park and doesn't give a damn that the team is getting blown out or the player missed the shot. But hey, leave it to me to care about winning games LOL. I want Crawful back so we can win 28 games a year and watch him do his crossover and then brick his 20 footers and I'll be right there with ya "OMG LIKE DID YOU LIKE SEE THAT CROSSOVER HE PWNED THAT GUY!".
pfffft.

Cosmic go get help.
LMFAO at slobbing over Crawful and pining for the days of TruckBury and ZachAss.
Did you guys not forget our record during those times? And don't give me this "used wrong" BS as if a player is garbage in one way but if only he was used right he'd be a superstar. Don't give me this "right coach" crap either.
Crawful sucks. He's done well in his ATL role and that's it. Nothing incredible.
Isiah's rosters sucked. The players as individuals elsewhere in garbage roles have done okay. That's it.
But leave it to some to want to re-assemble the Curry-Zach-Q-Craw-Marbs lineup, put Isiah back in as coach, and pretend we're another Jared Jeffries signing away from playoff success. Leave it to some to use Crawful's 6 man award as a reason to trash Walsh.
Some really short memories on here I guess.
Isiah's rosters did suck and Crawford was maddening due to his role. Most felt by the end of his tenure that he was nothing more than a sixth man on a good team. The fact that he was misutilized isn't on Crawford it's on the GM. He had to try and be more than he was because of what was around him. It's not like I miss him on this roster because I certainly do not but he's maximized his abilities in a good situation. He's a talented player that would augment any deep team... hbut he isn't good enough to get it done himself
Thanks for reinforcing the point I made here earlier. People focus on the negative but, never consider the situation. JC never had a batman to run next to and was forced to do too much. That too much kept us from being the absolute worst team in the league.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt
