I like Al Harrington. He can make you want to KILL him in certain moments but for the most part I do like him.
The problem with Al is two fold, and they are devestating problems:
1) Kills the flow of an offense and doesn't keep teammates involved.
-When you get the ball and 90% of the time you shoot it you're killing the flow of the offense and you're alienating teammates. You do this 5 out of 7 possessions now your teammates are cold as ice and disinterested. Now, unless you are hitting nearly every shot? You've just lost the team the game then and there.
Al does that every game. So now you're living or dying with AL having to shoot a ridiculous percentage.
2) Errors.
All players make errors but some players' errors are so terrible and come at such the wrong time that they could have gone 10-10FG but that one 3pt jack down the stretch of a close game can be the one that buries the team.
Al does that every game. So, again, you're living and dying with a prayer shot, a shot that is intended to be a dagger, but if missed, is YOUR dagger.

So you mull over this and despite all that talent and some very nice games? You realize you can't win with Al Harrington and he must go.
I still think there is a chance he is retained. But then I refer you to my "2010" thread.
I mean, we strike out in 2010 what are we doing here? Bringing back TMac, Sergio, Walker, House, Al, Lee?
Uh, isn't that the DISASTER we have right now?
