Ive actually talked on an off about these guys for a year--but it doesnt make sense to open your mouth until we can actually do something about it. Take it from me--I watch a lot of extra basketball both pros and college--I feel I know what I am talking about. To make a good team we need a full team balance. Just because Mike dantoni doesnt believe in having a 7 footer--that shouldnt mean the GM of the Knicks wont get 1. MDA can be removed --you don't get multiple chances to get young burgeoning players-especially big one's. You want to give the coach players he thinks he can win with within reason--a good coach should be able to take any type of player who is GOOD and put him into position to succeed.
So when we getting this good coach?
Its not just that MDA doesn't believe in real centers who play defense, its that the players have to fit in with his mentality. Otherwise, its the bench.
I think everyone here thought Darko could be a good C for MDA.
How'd that work out? 70 minutes of game time, and he was exiled to Minnesota.
