If Kings move TMac to NY, it would be 4 same package Knicks were offering Houston: Jeffries, Hill, Hughes, picks.

Then Gar Forman says we aren't taking Free Candy and giving you T-Mac and Free Money.... unless you get them knees dirty.

Hopefully its a 3 way, Knicks end up w/ TMac, Sergio and Kenny Thomas. I'm gonna sleep now for at least 2hrs. This is affecting my quality of life lol

Kenny Thomas wouldn't come here. He makes like $10 million. He would go to Houston.

The Rockets obviously arent going to be players in the 2010 free agent sweepstakes now that they've got Martin, so taking on Jeffries salary isnt as crucial. I could still see them being interested in grabbing Hill and a draft pick.

We have a gang of expirings we can throw Sac's way to get Sergio over here.

When a team is over the cap they aren't paying Jefferies 14 million for next year.

When a team is dumping salary they aren't taking on Jefferies 7 million for next year.

It's over man they dont want Hill or the picks. They can now slide Ariza to SF where he belongs.

just curious, where do u get $14 mil for Fishlips next year? as far as i know HOU won't be over the luxury tax threshold next season.

I dont care how rich Houston is they aren't paying the lux tax for Jared Jefferies. They just took on 10 million in salary man. Morey found Landry in the 2nd round. Do you think Hill is currently better than Landry? Next year they will be in the playoff hunt and Hill will be collecting splinters.

the report has Landry going to SAC as part of this deal

I suggested this before. If you believe that Lebron wants to play with Amare why go through a middle man. Trade for Amare.

if we were getting Amare instead of T-Mac i would have much less problem giving away Jordan Hill & the other assets... much rather make that deal than the one HOU is offering

1 thing here that should concern Knicks fans... if HOU trades T-Mac to SAC & they buy him out & he goes & signs w/CLE & helps Lebron win a championship.

C - Shaq
PF - Jamison
SF - Lebron
SG - T-Mac
PG - Mo Will
6 - Varejao

damn, that's pretty formidable... you hear that Boston?

They do all this, its game over. If we didnt have such a vested interest in Lebron's future I would almost want to see this happen. That would be '96 Bulls territory right there, champ.

i don't think Morey will play Donnie Walsh like that tho... i think the discussions are too deep at this point for T-Mac not to end up in NY, & you have the old man desperate to give up every pick he's got at Morey to make it happen.

If that last part was true the deal woulda been done by now.
The problem is Morey tried to strong arm Donnie and Donnie punched him in the mouth. Now Morey is gonna trade walking injury 2.0 for walking injury 3.0.

The worst part is the Kings are getting Landry who is a hell of a player that they don't even need.

i think T-Mac will end up here... DW doesn't wanna give up 3 assets, only 2 & he wants lottery protection to 10 any picks while HOU wants the 2012 pick to be unprotected... if Dolan jumps in with a wad of cash it's pretty much like adding a late 1st rounder into the deal, so there's your third asset right there... HOU could stand to save a few bucks to pay for Fishlips' salary next season afterall... if Donnie caves on the 2012 pick but gets HOU to agree to let us keep our 2011 swap rights, i think a deal can get done.

I am down with that but the entire landscape has changed now. TMac was worth more to the Knicks 2 days ago.

What about a package for Amare with Hill, Chandler, and Curry? Then moving Jefferies is more of an option than necessity. What about of you can move Jefferies for Luke if all you have to include is cash?

Sorry but to me Darryl overplayed his hand on this.

not sure i follow u on that... why has his value to the Knicks changed? the point of this trade would be to dump Fishlips' contract first & foremost i'd have to assume.

I say his value was different 2 days ago because Stoudemire(someone who may fit into the knicks plans) was going to Clevelnd and Jamison(someone who doesn't) was up for grabs. Now Stoudemire is still there. 2 says ago the Bulls were actual buyers for McGrady. They moved on. 2 days ago the Bucks weren't looking for a PF to put next to Bogut on the cheap and we heard nothing about Ridnour.

The point is-to me anyway- there are now more options and perhaps better options now available and that doesn't pigeon hole us into on trade.

i'm getting the feeling Donnie's gonna end up giving the same package pretty much to whatever team he deals with to dump Fishlips' contract... when it's being widely reported that we're already willing to give up at least 2 if not 3 young assets to dump his contract i can't imagine any other GM accepting any less.

Sources told ESPN The Magazine’s Ric Bucher that McGrady and Rodriguez would be sent to the Knicks in a three-team scenario sure to feature New York’s Jared Jeffries if it comes to fruition…”

Why has Sacramento given up on Kevin Martin? Seems kind of strange right?

Also if this is the deal that's way better for Houston than taking on Udrich and Nocioni which was the rumor last night. No way was that mess happening.

Alright, if true, Donnie, call up other teams with Hill, Jeffries, and a right to swap 2011. Take it or leave it.

I mean, fellas, even if we have to take back say 3M of 2011 and 7M of 2010 - it's a WINNER. Then you offer FatAss 9M of his 11M up front and we shave 9M off the 2011 number - which gives us 34M to play with. One more tweak to something and we're good for the offseason.

I don't know how such a complicated trade could be done. I don't even want TCrap I just want FishLips and Jordan Hill gone.

I guess given we've got 7 hours left here...there's not much use hanging on every rumor today. At least I will try not to. Yesterday gave me one big headache.

because he's always injured, he doesn't mesh well w/Tyreke, & he's owned a huge contract
