Why the hell does everyone keep blaming MDa for this bum squad?! Seriously, I'm not the biggest MDa fan and will call him out if necessary, but this is getting beyond absurd. I remember when I started a thread awhile ago accusing Brown of forcing Isiah hand in some trades and people jumped down my thorast claiming that Brown isn't the GM./ Well MDa isn't the GM. And please explain what he screwed up on an already screwed up team?
d'antoni was behind the following:
- gallo drafting
- duhon signing
- marbury benching
- lack of pt for hill and douglas
- extensive jeffries pt
- nate dnp for december
- lost the team 1 month ago
that effected walsh's ability to make moves.
btw, nice to call them a bum squad. way to support them.
First, I dont think its fair to call me out for "support" when you jumped ship and are no longer a fan of the Knicks. Second, I'm a die hard knick fan who doesn't wear blue and orange colored glasses. I deal with reality. And if my team is a combined 131-251 (estimate) over the last 4 1/2 seasons, well, I'm sorry thats a bum record, plan and simple.
I'm sure MDA had imput in the drafting of Gallo as he should. As Parcells said 'If he's going to cook the meal, he should have some imput in shopping for the ingredients.' I'm sure he had input in Duhon aswell, which was not a big deal being that they only signed him to a 2 yr deal.
Marbury's massive contract and constant run ins with LB, Isiah, the court case, sex scnadal, etc did Marbury in way more than anything MDA did. How did MDA hurt Hill and Douglas' value by not playing them much?
Nate was still getting looks from other teams when he was benched, I believe TMS pointed that out in a thread. Boston and another team was asking about Nate. Jeffeies getting extended playing time might have helped. He played very well when we were winning ball games in December.
