Damn real... Time for a STARBURY jersey.

HELL YEAH give up the draft pick. WHATEVER. Who would we get in the draft that is better than Starbury???

Kill that noise. We came off better than we have in a LONG TIME.

What's gonna blow up in Zeke's face? Success? I am not even trying to hear that ignorant madness.

This is a GREAT DAY for the Knicks!!! A NY Point Guard on a NY TEAM.
CASE CLOSED.
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

TWO FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICKS!? Now, I hope the Knicks do not make the playoffs, and Thomas will see how stupid he was to add two first round draft picks. I want that to blow up in him and Dolan's face! Ugh. The Knicks needed to get into the draft and get young players to mix in with the veterans.

Wow...are you a Nets fan? Why would a Knicks fan every say something like "I hope this blows up in Dolans and Zekes face?" You know this team needed a star, now it has one - the Knicks last star was Ewing and he was drafted in the 80's. Thomas helped this team out, it cost us but it would have either way - face losing for years or give up talent and get someone who can help you fill in the W's now. Gee thats a no brainer. He got proven skills for a bunch of wannabees with bad contracts, a european enigma and 2 draft picks that might be valuable but ould suck if the Knicks start winning.

Are you ****ting me? They added Lampe to the mix and now he's going to Phoenix, all thanks to this trade! UGH! (According to The Dog on WFAN)

I am a Knicks fan who loves the Knicks and know's we will not win a championship anytime soon, UNLESS we add Kobe Bryant, then we have a chance. Right now, no.

OH MY GOD. I'm shocked like never before...

2 1st round picks, Milos, and now LAMPE ???????? This is completely crazy. I'm damn excited about our present, but the future we've finally added over the last 2 drafts is going away... I have a mixed feeling now.

Milos is ok, 'cause we have Frank doing a great job, and Starbury will be our starting PG for years to come... but LAMPE ???? WHY OH WHY ????

If we gave them Lampe also then this is starting to smell like the Herschel Walker trade. Please don't make the Angry Puppy right for once in his life.

Only a true idiot would want a lazy rook like Lampe over a PROVEN STAR like STARBURY.

We got rid af ALL the Euro-projects. We have no time for that- let someone else mold long-term projects. We gotta get this team up and running NOW.

Real fans are behing Zeke on this one! Make it happen, Isaiah! YES!!

Eisley's outta here too!!!! Oh yeah.... Wonderful!!!

There will be more deals coming down too. It ain't over, fellas!!

You all leave out the fact that Stephon Marbury is a selfish ball player. He's not a winner.

The Knicks would be better off blowing it all up, picking in the lottery for 3 years and rebuild properly.

Marbury will never be a championship calibre point guard.

Great trade, finally a young star in NY.

but we give up a lot of picks but we had too, those picks won't equal a steph, and milos is a sucker who is scared to play in the NBA..

losing eisley is great!!!

i support the trade - because we have to ride out H20's contract...Might as well do it with Starbury at his side. After we use them up, we can have money to go free agent hunting... I would have liked to keep Lampe though...

One more thing to add--- I had no idea Marbury was still so young--- turning 27 in February. From a relative standpoint--- a supposed "young" player in Kenyon Martin is only 10 months younger. You know, these guys who either don't go to college or leave early seem to stay young forever.

I guess the whole logic is that you don't have too many opportunities to grab a top 10 NBA player or top-3 at his position. Having a lottery pick or any draft pick doesn't guarantee you a star or even a journeyman. At least that's the logic.

So long to Eisley & Ward--- Eisley, you never did anything for us... It'll be a shame to never know what FW's full potential would be, because he'll never achieve it with the Knicks, unless the team gets creative with his minutes.

So long to McDyess--- you were a constant worry since joining the team. May you find your game in Phoenix--- or... do what you do best and bolt from Phoenix and re-sign with Denver.

Vujanic--- this could have been you. We've been waiting just to get a glimpse of you play, perhaps in the summer leagues... but alas... if you ever make the plunge and play here, it won't be for us.

Marbury--- get friendly with KVH... cuz you're gonna be with him a long time.

wow...

I'm having mixed feeling about this........

Starbury is an excellent ball player, but was the Point guard position really our weakest?? especially the way F.Williams has been playing has of late?

I don't know about this....we gave up, supposedly, the best player overseas and 2 first round draft picks.

I like the fact that we got rid of Eisley big contract but we also gave the Suns two expiring contracts and three draft picks (including Milos)...don't know.......

I do like the fact that we got Penny...always been a fan

I think this trade will make the Knicks a 500 team. I wish we coulda kept Ward though but not a huge deal. I hear Van Horn hates Maurberry but Spree should be here instead of mr. knee high sox anyway.

2 huge contracts ends at the same time for the Knicks (KVH and Penny) in 2006. Another 2 in 2007 (Houston and Anderson). Our window of opportunity is NOW! We get well under the cap in 3 to 4 years.

If Lampe is included then it is a hard pill to swallow but with this trade and barring injuries we should do damage in the playoffs.

Now if we can get Starburry to pass first shoot second we will be in great shape.

I wouldn't mind a trade of KVH and Thomas for Rasheed Wallace....That would be good right about now.

Marbury is a selfish player.....He's a shoot first PG. Houston and KVH are going to be hurt the most by this trade.

plus..with Marbury and Houston making the MAX and KVH making damn near it...I can't see Thomas signing with the Knicks next season. He can't demand a MAX contract but he is going to receive a good raise.

This season is starting to get real interesting......

hDavis...How was the Knicks vs Nets game last night? I was watching it and it felt like a playoff game with a playoff type atmosphere...Did it feel that way?
