Where in that article did you get that impression? You took the statement that the Rockets wanted Hill (or Douglas) plus that fact that the deal was not happening to mean that the Knicks didn't want to do the deal.

I got it from the actual "title" of the article I first read. It's on hoopshype, ultimateknicks, nypost....one of them had it in their title.

Kevin Martin has a big contract. Didn you just say they wouldnt use their cap space? They also have a lot of wing guys. They need bigs. I dont see how that trade makes much sense for them.

Kevin Martin earns that contract when he's healthy. As much as they need bigs, they also need outside shooters and dynamic offensive players.

And Yao Ming is pretty big. I guess it does depend on how healthy they feel Yao is heading into next season and whether they want to build around him or build for a post-Yao team...

I dont Morey is that stupid. I think it was already reported early in the season we were insisting they take back Jefferies so I assume Morey was answering the question from that angle.
