Personally, I would take Haywood at 8-9M before I sign Lee at 12M. I wouldn't be surprised at this point if Lee's agent doesn't look for more than that.
Assuming we can't move Jefferies or Eddy and we can't sign 2 max players.
If financially possible....
I'd trade Al for Tyrus Thomas and resign Thomas to a fair deal.
I'd re-sign Lee to play center and play Thomas at PF - with Gallo at the 3.
I'd sign Lebron if possible and put the ball in his hands at the 1.
Try to sign a lower tier point guard (Blake?).
Then add another big time free agent in 2011...once Eddy and Jefferies expire.
Blake
Lebron
Gallo
Thomas
Lee
Douglas
Chandler
Hill
Jefferies
Eddy (back up to 450)
We probably dont have the money to put together a lineup like that, but i love the idea of it. I think Tyrus Thomas would be fine next to Lee and one of the players you can put next to him where you have a player that fits the offense and provides shotblocking. Although neither him nor Lee are post defenders, Thomas provides an active, shot blocker to hide some of the weaknesses. I would be interested in him at a fair price after sign a max FA, resigning Lee, and Walsh determines he can provide much more than Hill would. Otherwise i am content developing Hill while finding a stop gap bigman in the meantime.
