Anyone else notice that we are slowly filling the roster with athletic versatile team oriented players with good character and size. N8 is athletic, but he is lacking in all the other categories. Eddy Curry has size, but he is also lacking in most other categories.

Based on what I've been reading, that isn't right. This article has it that Nate's trade value for us is 2m, but for the team trading for him, it is 3.6m. If so, that would obviously make things more difficult.

It's not going to be easy that's for sure...you have to find a team with a legitimate need for some points from a 2nd or 3rd guy off the bench. Usually only a contender would make that move and Most of the ones that I can think of don't really have a need...maybe Phoenix or Cleveland?

GSW - N8 for Curry $2,710,560 + Jamal Crawford trade exception $810,502 = $3,521,062

Not impossible, just difficult

I think N8 to the Lakes is the most realistic and we also paid them 3M this summer for their 1st rd pick which should cover any lux tax differentail

MDA never called Nate satan and made it personal. Team is 6-3. I take that personal if I am MDA.

Nate is not the problem, but he shore as hell ain't the solution!

at this point if that's the best we can do for Nate i'll take it... at least Reddick can provide some shooting off the bench... if MDA isn't gonna utilize Nate then any usable piece for us is better than nothing... i'd rather we just went after any scrub expiring & even a 2nd round pick if we could tho, cuz Hughes will be back soon enough.

I think the most likely destination is Miami since they need his scoring and they have a 4.2 million dollar exception from the Marcus Banks trade.

The question is what do we get in return.

Truth. But I don't know if they're ready to throw in the towel on him.

I want Cook because I don't trust this regimens drafting ability that late in the draft.

I think they are serious about a playoff run and we already what, 2 2nd round picks. I wouldn't be surprised if Walsh doesn't get MDA another guard

With Hughes healthy you can field a line-up that goes:
6-5
6-8
6-10
6-11
6-9
with a 6-9 and 7-0 footer ready to come in off the bench. Not sure why people keep perpetuating this myth that we enjoy going small. Duhon and Douglas are really the only guys on the team that can be considered small. Most of them versatile and most of them able to play/defend multiple positions and attempt to defend. If Bender can guard some centers you have a legit line-up. You can disagree with the plan and think D'Antoni and Walsh are idiots, but unlike the Layden/Isiah eras you can actually see some semblance of a team being formulated. I think a lot of people are missing this. Even if we lose all the guys on this current roster you can see the direction this team is headed.

I just hope that people will like me

probably but i'd rather accumulate assets that we can parlay to move up in the draft myself, especially when we don't own our own pick this year... would love to be able to work our assets & get at least one mid-late 1st round pick in this draft.
