This is kind of funny--it went from a who thought Ty Evans was good to a mindless meltdown of who knows what?

OK when everyone looks at our second rounders in June and hears names like Jeremy Lin Manny Harris or Charles Jenkins --make sure that you let them know Tfk was all over it!

Who thought Ty Evans was good?

File this under Duh.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Everyone pipes up when they get one right and clams up when their "boy" sucks the big one. Only to pipe up again when that guy plays well. It's the nature of sports predictions.

i totally agree. if that weren't the case believe you me you'd be hearing me piping up plenty about being the only guy the night we got curry WHO KEPT TELLING EVERYONE THIS GUY SUCKS DON'T GET HIM AT ANY PRICE but you just don't hear me doing it do ya.

I tend not to brag about my hits, only my misses. Sweetney anyone?

LOL.. ok, I am going to be a hypocrite right now, and eff it.. I can't resist. I remember getting into an argument with some of the posters on this board because I didn't want sweetney at all, I called him another clearance weatherspoon... boy was I wrong.. sweetney wasn't even close to being that good.. LOL..

heck, I guess it is not hypocritical, I will admit my mistakes as well... LOL..It happens..

He's only 27 and still has time to prove me right.

Pretty much the day everyone called Gallo a bust before they even saw him play, was the day everyone on this site lost all credibility

I agree, I tried my best to defend gallo vs that type of logic.. they did it as well on realgm.. called him a bust before he played a game.... I then asked the question.. is blake griffin a bust since he is injured and hasn't played yet? LOL.. all I heard were crickets...

briggs I am more impressed when you come up with finds like nate robinson and the lesser knowns than when you procalim victory on a college stud like evans....... So far, IMO, your two best finds have been bynum and nate robinson... I knew about nate, but you were the only one on any site that I have been on that was aware of his type of talent, and had the guts to call him a legit first round pick.... So there you go....

Sorry there was a kid that played AAU ball in New Jersey that I watched dominate a game by the name of Amare Stoudemire that I screamed for over 3 months to draft --no one knew who he was on this board --some guys on the premium college sites yes but no one else--you know who Andre Drummond is? No well maybe since I mentioned him two months ago. I don't want to go over other big names but I have not pretty fair over the years--but I'm not going there --it wasnt me who hijacked the thread.

By the way I have yet to see a ultimate knicks post where someone was calling ty evans a superstar--despite the proclamation that they exist. The only other guy I remember calling Tyreke Evans a star in the making was misertearl. The draft was Blake Griffin/Tyreke Evans and everyone else. Also I don't think Ty Evans was a lock for top 5 until workouts and if he was available at 8--we pass on him anyway--so it is a mute point.

Hey I don't agree with tfk keys to the win/loss all the time but I have enough class not to say pipe down. Also I would never ban a post of yours on any site ever--Im not like that.

BRIGGS, it's a little hard to keep up with your "predictions" when you change ur stance on prospects every other day... if Demar Derozan blows up i'm sure you're gonna bump one of your threads saying how u thought he was gonna be a superstar too (even tho we both know u were criticizing his weak shooting when i said i liked him just a few weeks before u started liking the kid too)... u have threads calling out Hasheem Thabeet & Stephen Curry as future studs that should go top 3... u cover all ur bases well.

i give u credit for Evans, Amare, Bynum & Nate... then u've had ur misses like Marcus Williams, Mike Sweetney, Ty Thomas, etc... the jury's still out on guys like Thabeet, Mullens, Curry, McGee, Randolph, Bayless, but if those guys turn out to be busts u have to be ready to take ur criticism just like u get ur props around here if u get them right... remember u called Gallinari the next Boki Nachbar before u ever saw him play an NBA game, u were obviously off on that prediction... u didn't give Jordan Hill much of a chance to prove himself either before saying u thought guys like Donte Green & Spencer Hawes were far superior looking prospects.

we all have our hits & misses like Bip pointed out... i'm not exactly proud of my Gerald Green prediction either... the difference is you never seem to admit being wrong about anyone cuz you're too busy bragging about the ones u got right... & i'm not saying all this to offend u so don't take it personal.

After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

the pipe down things seems to be bothering you briggs. so I apologize, but since I feel I can be honest with you, sometimes you come off as self agrandizing when it comes to talking about prospects when they do well, so again, my apologies if my saying that upset you.. can we move on from that now?

Briggs, go ask anyone on realgm.. I was all over amare way before the draft, I even drove everyone crazy on realgm... I remember saying that, watch the knicks bypass amare, the suns will draft him, and we will be writing up stupid trade proposal trying to fleece the suns for the kid...

As far as tyreke evans, I went through the archives on realgm, and there were quite a few guys over there, as high on him as you were. actually one kid was in school with him at the same time I think.. anyway, there was a poll, judging the best talent after griffin and thabeet... 80% of the post either had evans 1st or second.. again briggs, maybe not in UK, but on realgm and other sites I frequent, tyreke evans was being hyped big time!! I can go pull the post if you want, but really that is a waste of time, I just hope you don't think you were the first on only guy on these sites high on evans...

exactly... agree 100%...

Briggs was wrong about other players such as Eric Gordon who he said was too small to play the 2. He wasn't high on James Harden.

Mullens is playing in the NBDL

McGee is sitting on the bench in Washington

DeAndre Jordan is getting major pine on the Clippers

Anthony Randolph is mentioned in trade rumors for the second time

Bayless can barely get PT even when a team has injuries and has been mentioned in trade rumors

But let's mention other players he liked

Lopez
Love
Speights
Chris Douglas Roberts
Blair
Maynor

Now while he has liked some players who have performed well look at his exhaustive list. He pretty much talks about every single player. He also said there wouldn't be any players to note after pick 6 in the 2008 draft and to trade the pick would have been an absolute nightmare. Look how many players in the past 2 drafts who he didn't talk about(shockingly) who have played well. He's basically all over the place rarely settles in on any solid small crop of players.

I didnt say anything about drafting Deandre Jordan K Love Eric Maynor Speights[who i like] The only thing I said about Jordan is can we get him on the cheap a year later? That draft happened to be very good--I was high on Lopez Mcgee Randolph. I didnt like Eric Gordon I thought he was too small for the 2 guard--. If MDA was not the coach and Mark Jackson was--I would ahve pushed intenly hard for Lopez at the end--but I knew that would be blowing smoke--nor did I think we would ahev any chance at him---thats the only honest answer

This has to be trueblue in reincarnation 5
