I did not see superstar written on Oden, but he was turning into a very good player. If healthy, worst case scenario you have a tough rebounder that blocks shots, d's his postion well, makes the easy ones and is an overall intimidator. Not something to poo poo. We need that here.

It's obvious the guy is injury prone and it's a shame. He seems like a really good guy. Not sure I understand Cosmic's rationale behind hating him. Because other people hyped him? So if TMS says Cosmic is a demigod and it turns out that Cosmic is just a man, should I then hate Cosmic/

irrelevant. cosmic is a proven demigod.

Wow, Greg Oden's career seems to be ending before it even got started. Once the knee problems start becoming constant, a player is never the same.

That guy can't get a break...well, at least a good break.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

bill simmons predicted oden durant would become this generations version of bowie jordan. agreed with his assessment as far as ball skill. It is sad this is playing out down to the bad knees.

wish him the best.

You guys saw that injury? It wasn't Livingston bad, but you could see his kneecap seem like it was shoved into his leg.

Not pretty.

I think it's like DJ said Oden really is a 40 year old.

Portland has bad luck with big men. Bill Walton was hampered by his bad feet but at least he had a few good years. 1970 no. 1 pick was Larue Martin. The Sam Bowie pick and now Oden.

While I understand guys like Bynum and Oden going in early and getting paid it seems like these young giants need to grow into their bodies more. Sure injuries can happen in college but there is less physical demand on these young guys there and MAYBE they can physically mature a bit more.

From a business stand point the NBA Im sure would prefer these guys break down in college before they invest a top pick in a kid. Its cruel but from that perspective true.

Im no fan of Oden but I like him enough and wish him a good recovery and that he can resume his career. His ESPN comercials were great.

The dude is like Benjamin Button!

Here's the injury. If you get a bit squeamish by these things, don't watch.
