Word i don't think blame is being put on him...I think his benching is isolated to Nates focus. Scoring 25 and saving Duhon is what he's always done...but there are things he does that is detrimental to this team...you can't simply ignore his antics just because he can score.

Let's see. The Knicks got rid of Marbury. They didn't sign AI. Now Nate is in the dog house. I think management (Dolan, Walsh, D'Antoni) is making a point about what kind of guys they want on this team.

They also took a pass on Jason Williams. You might remember this quote - ""We suck. Face the facts, we're not a good team at all. We're the worst team in the league to me"

Tough to see, but you are correct. It even appears that they are giving Nate a shot, but he's having problems taking advantage of it.

Possible. I do think that Brandon cost himself a few slots when he went off on Rubio. I don't know if the Knicks would have grabbed him, but we unfortunately just weren't in position to take on another head case after all we've been through.

Take note: Gallo, Douglas, Hill are all character guys.

Seems like you can ad Landry to that list

“We want to win, and if he’s conducive to winning, then he’ll obviously be back in the lineup,” D’Antoni told reporters. “If not, then not. I’m not going to explain everything. I did not play Darko. No one asked me about that. Why didn’t I play Marcus last game? We could go through the whole thing.

“I won’t sit here and explain it, and it’s something that we’re trying to build, a winning group.”

so nate and darko are the main reasons NY is 4-15...

not harrington's selfishness in key moments, duhons 20% from the field or his inability to beat anyone off the dribble or his Lee or bust pass distribution ratio...why is Jared Jeffries ever behind the 3 line especially at the end of halves for a team that every possession truly matters too and he ends up with the shot...why is lee being asked to anchor the defense...

escapegoats!

Playing a shorter rotation does have the team playing better in general.

It's not the record he is concerned with. It's the culture. We are trying to change the culture. If you do what the coaches say you have freedom in this offense to be whoever you want to be. Nate is included in this. If you don't, then you don't play. If you shoot in the wrong basket you don't play. If you preen and pose while the opponent is still playing you don't play. If you shout and flex when your team is down 20 your don't play. If you give effort and suck you play. We are rebuidling. The effort and attitude is the most important thing right now. It's that simple.

bip, somehow you become very smart recently. i think, what you just say, is how it is. that's it. anyone bashing mda or anything or walsh, refer to this post, i no think anyone say it better.

it's about the culture, it's about long-term vision, not instant gratification. is all. is all. ANYONE THAT DEFEND NATE, ANYONE THAT DEFEND IVERSON, IS EQUAL TO THE PEOPLE THAT DEFEND MARBURY = YOU KNOW NOTHING.

for many year, crazy people run the show, the inmates at asylum. now, with mda and donnie, we show who is boss-- the coach and gm. for too many year out gm and coach try to be buddy buddy with lunatics.

I'm not even going to get involved in a coaching debate about D'Antoni. I don't agree with him with a lot of things, but he's far from the problem, but:

When he said that about Nate last night, I wasn't thinking about him passing blame. Saying he was doing that sounds almost like a Berman's editorial staff like thing to do. It's more like: When Nate is ready to get his head back in the game, he'll play, same with Darko. Until then, he's not really helping us and neither is Darko.

It may very well be true. Not that anyone is making much of a contribution, but maybe he feels Douglas is moving further along than we all think.

hey, mr. allan, if you ask me 'who you want right now, on your team?, nate or toney?'...i say to you 'toney'. it no matter what nate did, can do, etc., he mental and physical midget. i forgive the latter, but not the former. toney, i think, is developing so nicely that he make this decision EASY for mda. big reason why mda finally has room to bench nate robinson. is like toney is upgraded version of nate.

bip I'm quite sure if they hired you changing the culture would be a genuine approach. said he is playing the vets so much b/c he cares about them getting their next nba contract. The team is full of a whole bunch of guys who won't be here. How can you establish any kind o fculture with a roster that is goung to be completely overturned. What kind of message does it send to the guys that will be here when you suck as bad as duhon has or play as selfishly as Al has and you still get 40 minutes?

It's not a matter of who I want or don't want. I'm a Nate fan and I still think he can contribute to a winning and maybe even a contending team. However, a player like him needs winning vets who have been major contributers to teams. Malik Rose was a nice teammate, but he wasn't a force in the locker room. I think Grant Hill or Jason Kidd would have been perfect mentors for Nate but we didn't get them. Therefor, he might be better off headed somewhere else and I do hope he finds a better situation, b/c as much as he likes it here, it's really not good for him. If it weren't for that brawl, I would have said that a team like Denver would be perfect for Nate. Phoenix, Dallas. He can help them all when you think of it.

Are we witnessing the Marburyization of Nate. C'mon on a team desperate for scoring this doesn't make sense IMO.
