it'll probably depend on who he's playing with... if Gallo's got a dominant scorer on the team like Melo then i think his scoring will be lower & he'll be more of a well rounded player... if he's playing w/a playmaking G like Nash or Kidd, i can see him getting up to 20+ for a few years... i mean he's so young, who knows, maybe he could be like Dirk, but at this point i'm not buying that projection just yet... i think Gallo will be more of a second fiddle type player than a guy that can carry your offense like Dirk is... just MHO.

i see where you're coming from, but there's just something about gallo's overall game and atitude that, to me, has 'leader' written all over it. let's compare dirk and gallo at age 21-- hmmm...you're right. 17/6, but a lesser three point shooter, while gallo was scratching 17 for the first 7 games or so. i don't know. maybe gallo will be a slightly lesser scorer, but then dirk didn't have any injuries like gallo. i give dirk edge in scoring over what i project gallo to be, but not by much. gallo is far superior as a pure shooter than either toni or dirk.

imagine ray allen, but with height and handle and passing. pretty promising.

WE AIN'T NOWHERE WITH THIS BUM CHOKER IN CARMELO. GIVE ME STARKS'S 2-21 ANY DAY OVER THIS LACKLUSTER CLUSTEREFF.

If a TMac deal doesn't get done then Curry and Jeffries are much more untradeable. Houston and TMac's contract makes a ton of sense as a landing spot for those guys. If we need to put prospects in the deal to make it work, do it.

Something interesting would be to add Lowry and Douglas into a deal like that, Knicks get a more capable point, Houston gets another scorer and defender - fits their identity.

chandler has tons of trade value. i doubt that any knowledgeable GM in the league would look at these first 16 games and think chandler sucks. chandler's body of work, albeit brief, is more than enough to convince me that he is a very solid player already and has the potential to be plenty more.

he has trade value, 16 games on this mess of a squad cannot do enough damage to the kid. he'll be alright.

i would only trade Wilson to get a talented young player w/equal or greater upside... i'd trade Wilson for Rubio too, even tho Rubio hasn't proven anything just yet... i think a guy like Rubio can make a huge difference on this team if things pan out... as for using him as a piece to dump Fishlips or Curry's contracts, i would first try to use Lee or Nate as sweeteners to get that done, but if u had to include Wilson to clear up space for a 2nd max FA this offseason i would have to do it... it's too important to pass up a chance to bring in 2 guys like Lebron & Wade or Bosh not to.

i see the same leadership potential in Gallo too, but right now he's still so young so he has to defer to the vets... i think next year u'll start to see him take charge more during games... he's definitely a part of Walsh & MDA's longterm plans... i really like how he plays defense tho for as tall as he is... he uses his length pretty well.

yea, also the 'type' and 'quality' of these vets leaves a lot to be desired. put this man, at this age, on a team with quality vets and we see different story. some healthy minded veterans that are assured of a long-term role on the knicks, and we see much different chemistry. still, it is what it is, and i'm happy with where he is at right now, lots of promise for the future.

i mean, lebron was giving gallo advice at the end of a game. i really doubt any of our expiring veterans are this amiable in attitude towards the kid.

i agree w/u on that... our vets are only looking out for themselves at this point, they could care less about the development of kids like Gallo, TD & Hill, they're all concerned about where they're gonna be playing next year at this point... i can't really blame them, i'd probably be doing the same... the situation is what it is like u said... hopefully Donnie's "plan" will bear the fruit we're all looking for this offseason, or else **** is seriously gonna hit the fan.

Yeah, pretty much the same.

I don't hate Chandler at all, but I think he has been overrated by D'Antoni and Walsh.

I just hate that Wilson takes so many jump shots when he simply is not a good shooter at all. His shooting has been absolutely killing us this season because he takes so many shots that have no chance of going in.

He is an underrated defender though, I will say that. I don't think people realize how good his defense is already.

The problem is, his offense has been so terrible that no one gets a chance to notice that. He needs to go to the basket more and work on drawing fouls. If he ever does clean up his offensive game, he could be a pretty damn good player in this league but he has a lot of work to do.
