of course rondo flopped. but he has the right to in that situation. curry has, what, 200 pounds on him? just don't do that. though i'm not condemning curry-- i love to see that fire, at least right now, because he's been out so long. just don't do it again eddy.

i just hope u guys aren't fooled into wanting to hold onto him if he starts playing well & we have a chance to dump his contract... having the cap space for 2 max FA's is the best way to improve this team going forward.

Next time hit 'em harder. Eventually, they will get the message

LOL If Eddy would of hit Rondo any harder, he would have landed in the 17th row

i think i'm almost at the point of being fooled into thinking that moving jeffries and keeping curry could be good for us. would moving jeffries and chandler clear enough space for that second max contract? if so, i might want to see curry + 2 max FA's + gallo + hill + toney douglas.

C - Curry
PF - Bosh
SF - Gallo
SG - Joe Johnson
PG - Douglas
6th - Hill

or

C - Curry
PF - Hill
SF - LeBron
SG - Gallo
PG - Joe Johnson
6th - Douglas

damn, i can't believe i actually like the idea of keeping curry. i think having big time vets on his team would go a long way.

anyway, i realize this post is kinda dumb. just being hopeful.

i don't see any way we're gonna find anyone to take Fishlips off our hands... dude is a 3 & 3 player over 20 mpg & making $7 mil next year with a 15% trade kicker to boot!

Curry can at least present matchup problems for other teams & he fills a necessary role for teams looking for scoring punch in the low post... Fishlips can't do anything well other than drawing charges in the lane & impersonating a small mouth bass.

Washington might need a guy to take charges on LeBron.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

People Can Change

eVil - your theory holds water for one reason. Donnie Walsh has a decision to make at forward. If Gallo proves he can endure an 82 game schedule, The Mayor's minutes are cut. Besides, luring Bosh stateside will be easier than prying Lebron out of Cleveland. Jordan Hill grows into his body and game as an understudy at the four. Meanwhile, the Knicks look for another center to compliment Mr Curry, who will learn the joy of hoops for the first time in his career.

C - Curry / Darko or a clone of Chris Dudley
PF - Bosh / Jordan Hill as an eventual clone of Caldwell Jones
SF - Gallo and a clone of Trevor Ariza
SG - Joe Johnson or a clone of Doug Christie
PG - Douglas and a clone of Rick Brunson

Rookie wrote:come on man, Rondo flopped. Seriously though, if you watch the play, Rondo just happened to get between EC and the ref. Too bad for Rondo, but I'm glad it was him because Curry could be serving a suspension right now for going after that referee if Rondo hadn't been there. I blame the refs for letting that ****e go on for too long.

Dude, Curry pushed him in the back while he was in the air. Did Rondo flop? It doesn't matter because that is automatically a flagrant foul and an extremely dangerous thing to do. Not to mention stupid, especially at that point in the game.

oohah

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

oohah - c'mon dude. Describing a reaction that occurred in a nanosecond, in the heat of battle, as stupid is both arbitrary and reckless labeling.

Was it stupid when Larry Johnson went toe to toe with Zo? Nope. It let people know the game was very personal.

Was it stupid when Oak threw a hip into someone, sending an opponent into the first row? Hell naw, it sent a message that he was not to be messed with.

Was it stupid when Greg Anthony ran on the court wearing that ugly shirt? Definitely.

Was it stupid when John Starks head butted Reggie Miller?

Of course not. Starks was simply reminding Reggie, "if you crazy, then I'm crazy too!"

Go thug or go home.

That's true. During the game, I thought what Eddy did was stupid, but while I was walking home this evening there was one of these cell phone zombies walking real slow in front of me. I couldn't get by him, so I gave him a little "Eddy Curry Shove" and sent him sprawling to the curb. Worked like a charm. Thanks Eddy!

"I've never been a rah-rah player," Curry said. "I'm trying to change it. Just trying to play with emotion, change it up, bring some fire."

"I'm so happy to be back, doesn't matter to me," Curry said. "I'll guard Kobe [Bryant]."

I can't believe you're already forgotten Chris Childs' straight right to Kobe's jaw.

Eddy takes a step back against the Lakers. Their big men simply play at a higher tempo than Curry has seen in two years. The Knicks frontcourt is exposed for its lack of height and defensive quickness. Gasol, Bynum and Odom are too tall.

It will take at least two weeks for Mr Curry to adapt to the speed of the game. I would like to see him run with Jordan Hill.

shift du jour

Douglas
Hughes
Gallinari
Hill

He never took a step back because it was no step forward.
He is like fat lady on diet. Took diet 20 times and... will be taking another 20 times.
Plus he is a fat mental lady... with boom knee.

Eddy turned the ball over every time he touched it.

He always was, and continues to be complete crap.

I'm fine with him getting minutes if it means we get to trade him. But I want no part of keeping him, and I hope to god he's out of here soon.

He just does not know how to recognize the double time. Opposing teams do a delayed double on him. They wait for a second after he gets the ball, he looks around for the double team, and then as soon as he goes into his move it is like he fails to realize that the doubleteams often come after you make your move (not beforehand). If he can learn to pay attention when he makes his move, he can cut down on the turnovers.
