Allen Iverson and Eddy Curry are not turning a 2-9 team into a 42-40 team. We're not going 40-31. Not happening.

If all went perfect we might win 35 games maximum at this point (going 33-38).

All at the expense of not just this year's development of Hill, Gallo, Chandler, Nate, Lee, Douglas - but at the expense of their career paths taking cues from this boneheaded IDIOT.

I don't understand the blind eye turned not just towards Iverson's cancerous behavior but towards the fact that he's 34 not 25 (when he went to the finals).

What gives with the short sighted thoughts?

I don't understand.

Again, if we do sign Iverson I welcome him aboard and HOPE he acts mature and plays hard and leads us to wins but I'm not expecting that and even if he did to expect playoffs is ludicrous at this point. It's not happening. SO why bother? I don't understand at all.

I think the problem is that walsh passed on an allstar point guard that has his team in the playoff hunt without their best player and our rookie lottery pick isn't in the rotation of a 2-9 team.

This is the worse Knick team I have ever seen and you can't even watch a game without want to kill yourself.

You're making a ton of money off of AI the team becomes relevant again that is why

yea.. thats pretty hard to stomach. Jennings would have energized this franchise and fan base.

Anyone still think Lebron will want to play here?

Seriously, this team has been a total disaster. I don't think AI is the answer but at this point we have nothing to lose. Some else posted its like we are drunk and the beer goggles are on - pass me another one because this team is looking awful and we have no 1st round pick AGAIN!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

If AI comes in and teaches our PGs to take the ball to the hole, or to dish to our bigs,or open shooters, then his presence is welcome. That lesson is not being taught by our lead guard, except maybe Hughes. If you see a problem with them learning to chuck up bricks, well they're already seeing enough of that!

Lebron doesn't need as much as you might think.

All he wants is his Pippen. Then he can win with any bunch of scrubs. Kerr, Kukoc, Cartwright, Paxon, Rodman... the names kept changing and Jordan kept winning-- as long as he had pippen he was unstoppable.

The thing about scottie was that he was max fa backcourt talent, but was always willing to defer glory, spotlight, shots, everything to the superstar.

Find that player, and Lebron will come.

Unless you guys think in this new league you need THREE stars to win now (Pierce, Allen, Garnet, or Odom, Bryant, Gasol, for instance).

Let it be known: I believe in the Knicks this year-- deep into the playoffs, I swear to you my brothers...

Lebron would have a clean slate to work with.

I am feeling pretty optimistic about Curry being traded at some point for a pick and expirings. Houston makes so much sense. We get McGrady who will probably play well for a new contract and they get a 6'11 post guy thats going to give them 55% scoring with a short contract. We get their #1 (16-20) back and everyone is happy. All we need is for Curry to play well.

Once that is done you can trade JJ(expiring) and say Chandler for a shooter and your 2010 roster is....

PG Douglas (he's our Rondo)
SG Redd (our shooter aquired for JJ's expiring and Chandler)
SF Lebron
PF Amare Stoudemire
C Jordan Hill
bench: Gallo, whoever we draft, etc etc

Thats what your selling Lebron. That and an bottomless budget to improve the team. That an his own cable channel which will reach 12 million viewers. That an a $100mm spike in his already lucrative endorsements... getting the idea?

Cosmic the MAIN reason we've played so poorly has been a lack of good PG play, no scoring and no post presence. Curry and AI solve those problems. Imagine this team not going into those qtrs where we can't score? Imagine Curry getting the other teams bigs into foul trouble. So far bigs have had a free pass against us. Now they'll have to work on both ends.

If Chan can keep up the good play he had last game and AL can do the same I think we could win a lot more games! We won't lose to the weaker teams as much and should be compettitive with the middle of the pack teams. This team has better than 2-9 talent. They were slumping and bound at some point to play better. AI and Curry should pretty much push them over the top. We'll see, but it's not impossible for this team to toy with making it to 40 wins or so.

What struck me too was the improved defensive effort 2nd half of Pacers game. AI and Curry should help us score and this team defends better when they score and feel good about themselves.

You mentioned Hill, Gallo, Chandler, Nate, Lee, Douglas. None of these guys are super power, not even very good. Young stars come in and you see it right away. We really want these guys to succeed but all of them are second team starters on a very good tearm When you are in a funk like us and a kid plays a good game some put star next to his name. Philly's youngins own our youngins as a matter of fact Philly own us when it comes to playing.Right now I want self respect for my team and if that means allow the youngins to come off the bench then so be it.
