Its not so much Eddy learned and did it on his own....setting picks is D'antoni's whole game plan. Isiah/brown never had Eddy set a pick. As you saw, an Eddy pick is like a road block. If they can get this to work better, the addition might be better than making a trade.

Just to comment on Houston. Isn't yao Ming gonna come back eventually? Btw, is there team crying for size inside? Its not as cut and dry as some may think.

Yao may not ever really be able to play again. He's a massive man with some complicated foot issues. That's not the greatest combination.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

I don't want to deal him.

If Eddy is on his game, who is a better center than him that we are going to get?

if we can dump Eddy's contract it means we can realistically sign 2 max FA's this summer... u wouldn't rather have someone like Bosh or Amare over a healthy Eddy Curry?

Personally, I don't think Bosh or Amare are worth max money. Neither does Curry, but he'll have only one more year left vs. 5.

We sign 2 max guys, you've kinda shot your load and committed your franchise, and I sure don't want to replicate Orlando's experience with Hill and McGrady.

u gotta commit to winning sometime... if u have the cap space to sign 2 max FA's, u increase ur chances of landing Lebron tremendously... u can't let what happened to ORL scare u away from investing in 2 young franchise calibre talents... even if u don't think Bosh or Amare are worth max dollars, the fact that u can sign someone like Lebron along w/1 of those guys should make the decision for u... & if Lebron still doesn't end up signing here then u weigh ur options again in 2011 when Melo becomes available.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

This is true. Ya know, if we don't get LeBron or Wade, I don't think it's such a bad plan to get just one of Bosh or Amare this offseason and hope you can get Melo next season with the even more caproom we will have. Plus we'll have our chip to lure the guy plus we'll have a draft pick next Summer. Not a bad thing to look into.

We won't get picks from anyone looking to take Eddy off our hands and help us cut salary. Curry, Chandler, Nate might get us TMac and the Rockets #1 though....since we'd be giving up some talent in return.

From what I understand: Mobley will not be tradeable shortly....as he will come off our books one year after retirement (december 11th) which is four days before he could be packaged with Lee or Nate (december 15th) in any potential trade.

I wouldn't throw CHandler into that mix. He hasn't been great this year, but he's starting to show signs of life. He is a good shot blocker, defender, slasher, shooter. And he doesn't have that first big contract yet. Curry and N8 for Tmac and the 1st rounder. Let's get that done. The Rockets need Curry more than we do.

But he looked darn solid after such a long layoff. It will be hard to let him go in a way. He has big dude skills and has whipped himself into nice shape. If he blocks a few shots I might change my mind about him.

But having a 1st rounder, an expiring, and the $11 mil off the books for next season would go a LONG way toward making Lebron feel like coming to New York. It basically moves up our rebuilding by a season since we won't have to wait until 2011 for the second max FA. And we still have JJ coming off the books in 2011 for another big name second tier guy.

What I am saying is this: If we want assets back in a Curry trade we need to hand over assets in such a trade. So if we want a 1st round pick? Mobley won't do. We'd need to include Nate+Chandler+Cash (to meet the Tmac trade idea).

That's all.

I'd be fine with Curry/Mobley for TMac.
But, if we want more back? We have to give more.

That was....the point of my post. I guess I should have clarified.

This made me laugh... good thing we got rid of Isiah huh? Iverson, Hughes, Harrington, Curry... sounds like a lineup only Zeke could love. I'd actually love to hear his introduction speech with AI and his spin on how the ultimate group of chuck and duck players makes us a contender.

IMO this is the lineup that gives the Knicks the best chance to win, not to mention entertain me, which are the two things that I most care about, in that order, when it comes to this team.

That said, if playing these players makes them tradeable (especially Lee and Curry), I'll be happy to do it, for picks in this upcoming draft.

I am out of the country, and I wasn´t able to see the new guy playing. My girlfriend and I think that it´s great that Eddy´s skinnier, more active brother came to play for the knicks! And assuming Eddy´s contract, no less! I hope that things go well for Freddy Curry.

You do realize that this site is geek central. There are people on this site that do not, and will not ever have a girlfriend. To them, your post will come off as bragging and they will hate you forever.

I just hope that people will like me

Yeah, I was thinking about going to one of those Ultimateknicks meetups, and just drinking a beer and not saying anything or letting anyone know that I read the website. For all that you know, I have already done this. Think about it.

I hadn´t thought of that! I pretty much had to mention her - actually the name was her idea. Plus, she is looking over my shoulder right now.

Took a little time for Eddy to get out...
he was soooo bad in LA that he decided to invent some other ingury.
Hope I will never see him again...
