About as well as its working out for Brown in Charlotte. Brown is a great coach, but Iverson gets alot of the credit pushing the sixers to the finals aswell.

What will Iverson do for the future of the Knicks if he is signed this season?

The only thing he will do is give the 'fans' some cheap thrills, a couple 30 point games, and a **** load of drama. These are the same 'fans' that sell out the Garden for a 23 win team

The only influence he can have on our young guys is a negative one, and his negative influence will still dangle over the heads of Gallo and Douglas, and whoever else stays.

This guy was NEVER about making his teammates better. Ever. And if we're building for the future, you can't bring someone in like this. If we're building for a cheap present, then do it, but that's not how you build a winning franchise.

If he is so great, so inspiring, why didn't he receive ANY interest from the other 27 teams in the league??? There's something there.

This is not a signing for the future. We are not trying to kid anyone, its a signing for now/today. But this signing will not affect the future in any way.

How come these negative affects you claim Iverson leaves behind hasn't affected Lou Williams or Iggy in any way. They are blossoming, nicely. No ill-affects from Iverson what so ever.

I beg to differ that he doesn't make teamamtes better. No he doesn't do it in a Magic Johnsone esque way, but his hustle, heart and determination does have a positive affect on teammates, just go ask Eric Snow, Tyrone Hill and the rest of that below average line-up he took to the finals. Besides, our current staring pg isn't making anyone better by a longshot......In fact, some might argue he's making players worse.

snow and hill were veterans that probably taught iverson a thing or two about heart and determination.

douglas and gallo already know about all that as rookies, we don't need some washed up malcontent to 'teach' them anything. gimme a break.

there is no doubt that those things will also happen. But if it were overwhelmingly true, they would have signed him in the offseason.

i dont think knicks brass realized just how bad this team would be this year. they were hopeful going into the season so thats why i believe they didnt go for him in the offseason. now that reality has sunk in, they need someone who can inspire some life.

i agree. but people just argue stuff b/c they like to. there was a strong stance about development and system for the longest time. and the word patience. 1-9 and all that's out the window for iverson. there is no patience - that was all hot air.

patience still applies to the plan of cap flexibility, but patience did not mean we were expecting a 1-9 start where we are barely even competitive, getting blown out on the reg.

i want to see the system run, but if harrington is going to go 1-on-1 often, the pg can't seem to do anything right, and no one can hit an open jump shot, what are we supposed to do?

won't have an immediate impact anyway because the general plan of getting under the cap and maintaining flexibility is the focus, and should be the true focus of patience.

it's a priority thing.
