The lengths that you'll go to in order to convince everyone that Hill and Douglas are somehow the key to the Knicks turnaround is impressive.

Bill Parcells' most famous quote is, "You are what your record says you are." The Knicks consistently run out one of the smallest lineups in the league with their 6'8" center, 6'2" shooting guard and 6'8" power forward and they are arguably the worst team in the league.

The goal in basketball is to score more than the opponent and stop them from scoring. It just seems to me that from a physics standpoint, being able to naturally reach higher or wider than the guy you're going against has to be an advantage in every aspect of the game if everything else is equal.

That presents itself in the results in my opinion given the results of the last bunch of contending teams. Those teams always have mismatches to go to when the offense hits a rough patch, the most stunning of which was Turkoglu and Lewis when they played the 2/3 positions in last year's playoffs. The Cavs could not answer that despite having the most talented player on the floor.

Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

JohnWallace44 - No one here said that TD or Hill is going to save the Knicks season. We are just saying that we would rather see TD and watch him develop than watch Dudu stink the place up.

I believe the argument we have is that you claim that wingspan and height in a PG is the key to winning in the NBA. While it would be nice to have these attributes in a PG. I would rather have my PG have the attributes that can make my team win. Smarts, Savy, BBall IQ, Leadership, outside shot, dribbling skills, passing.

You keep going back to Rondo. Question: You think he was the reason Boston has been winning? Or maybe just maybe, it had something to do with Pierce, Jesus Shuttleworth and the Big Bully?

OK, so what's the problem then? Sounds like we're on the same page.

Rondo has been a key, yes. He was their MVP last year. Their whole team is damn good. KG is a similar profile player to Rondo, scaled up to the PF position.

NYK you have it right. No argument there. You have to have the requisite skills for the position, obviously. If you have those skills though, and you're looking at two players, you've gotta go with the bigger/longer/more athletic guy.

What I don't want, is Donnie parsing skills trying to project someone between (take 2011 draft for example) Sherron Collins, Terrico White, and Tyshawn Taylor. One of them is under 6'3", but I don't want our front office standing there with Collins on draft day telling us that they really liked his attitude over White and Taylor. We've got enough character guys that are undersized.
