The basis of this post is to show just how far behind we are as a franchise--that the player the Knicks management clearly feel is a star really is no better than option 4-5 on Orlando as they have a very similar player. Andersen is actually younger than Gallinari and didnt have the advantage of playing pro ball.

It's terrible that we drafted just so arse poorly this past draft--it kills us. Atleast I can call Gallinari a 3-4 option type. This putrid draft we just had made us take 10 steps back. Two picks and we have Royal Ivey and Mikki Moore sitting on the bench.

LOL. Dude, you are in rare form today. I am with you. Walsh should tear this whole thing down. Trade Lee, trade Nate, trade Chandler and try to get some young talent and draft picks. Hope that Bosh is willing to take our money and build around Bosh and Gallo.

Briggs, are you just now figuring out how far behind we are as an organization. The reason we are working on nothing but 1 year contracts is because we have been behind for almost a decade. We reached the absolute bottom and now we are attempting to clean it all out. Instead of building on top of the garbage we are gutting it. As I said years ago, when a GM finally starts to rebuild, it's going to be ugly and it's going to take a while.

I just hope that people will like me

Walsh beat you to it by a year. He started with Marbury, Crawford, and Zbo and targeted 2010 when the greatest free agent class becomes available and when Lebron may have a handshake deal with Stern to go to NY.

Sorry martin--after 10 years I cant take games like last night. Why arent we the team with Ty Lawson and Blair for once. Our coach is severely over rated as well. Ive been watching basketball for 35 years and he is a TERRIBLE in-game coach. he might have a system but he can't adjust on the fly. Indiana sagged in and he took Gallo out--that is why Lee could not score in the second half and thats what stopped us. the funny part is I called Obrien one of the worst coaches in the league on a Pacer board because his offense looks like a jailbreak with no clue.

understood. same here. but at the same time I am sure Walsh is not making decisions based upon the fact that Isiah sucked for 5 straight years and set the franchise back for many more.

I will tell you what--I think D Walsh is directly responsible for not taking a PG when we have a coach who predicates everything on a PG for a guy sitting on the bench as an upperclassmen. I think they were trying to be cute with Douglas[thinking he was in the same league as Lawson Tegaue Jennings]
and I think it was MDA who had too much say on Hill. But it is still the Gms fault. If anyone thinks the plan was to draft a guy 7 who would be sitting on the bench I have a bridge in Queens that is for sale.

awesome at what? Wow... the Nets have a great young core of CDR, Lopez, Yi, the kid from Orl... they are putrid. They havent been close in any games. They are probably the worst team in the league right now.

Nets core post 08 draft:

devin harris at 9mil per along with cdr, williams, lee, lopez, yi, boone, and sean "a lawrence frank firing away from contributing" williams on rookie contracts plus 30 mil in cap space and two firsts in next years draft...and with the billionare russian taking over u gotta think they are very very happy with where they are at as a franchise.

the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

If Im a Net fan--I want them to sck--they draft well and next year they could get a star talent. This year means nothing to the Nets other than development. This net coaching job will be a good one going forward.

Thats great.

Please explain to me something.

Please explain why those players (the Nets) can get blown out by 20 points every game. Please explain why those players can post stats that have ZERO impact on winning games, yet you regard them as a wonderful group of upcoming players.

Then explain to me why when Nate, or Gallo or Lee or Chandler put up good numbers they are meaningless garbage. Nate, Lee, Chandler, Gallo, Douglas and Hill are just as young as Devin Harris, Courtney Lee, Lopez, Yi, Williams and CDR. Go look it up.

So do tell... Nets stink and get blown out by 20 every game. They scored 59 points against the Bobcats. They are the worst team in the sport but you would be soooo thrilled to have their roster and young core of players and rich Russion owner.

Knick's core is just as young, but we are soooooo far behind them.

You guys are really blind at this point. I'm as jaded as anyone here. I am a Giants/Yankees fan and watching those teams only serves to constantly remind me of how totally inept the Knicks are run. But you guys measure all things Knicks to a totally different standard than the rest of the league.

I'm not looking for MS, MK1 or Briggs to give me BS positives to make me feel better, but you all know the sport and have totally lost all objectivity when it comes to this team.

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

where was this post just the day before when he had 7 points and 6 boards on 2-14 shooting.

briggs, you are so predictable..

Ryan Andersen is the real deal--what is the big difference in the players? Gallo can handle and pass better and Andersen is a better rebounder and more athletic and active? Same size--Im sorry but there is little difference from what I have seen.

right there for most NBA players is the difference between chris paul and chris duhon..

and anderson barely rebounds better brigs. More athletic? LOL.. Ok, and gallo is more skilled.. which one you rather have?

I think we can do much more--we have some good individual players on ending contracts and I am willing to trade anyone except Gallo for the right price today.[I should caveat that I would personally be willing to trade anyone including Gallo for the right price but the Knicks think he is Larry Bird]

I don't think Walsh would disagree with you, except on the Gallo part.

What if Toronto was willing to part with Bosh for Harrington and Gallo?

I tell them, no thanks. we will wait and sign him from you at the end of the season...

briggs in 3 years when lawson is playing behind a bigger PG who can shoot, and blair is on his 3rd knee surgery, you would be crying why didn't we take that tall, skinny. euro kid.... it never ends with you..

Devin Harris--hurt all year. Nets also absolutely blew two games when leading heavy in the 4th.

Like the Knicks last night. Lets just focus on Lee's 20 first half points and how well we were playing before Indy made adjustments. Lets just call it a moral victory shall we?

Nets didnt win the games Harris played, and he's missed 60 games over the last 4 years. How many games did Harris, Vince and Lopez win last year in a weak East?

I dont care that you guys rag on the Knicks... we stink. Try to be objective though. Just for fun
