I think it was Bernard King who said it best when he spoke out on the foolishness of post counts when judging a man:

I have a dream that my sons will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the number of their posts, but by the content of their character.

Words to live by in any forum, including the forum of life.

Profound.

Now stop shaw-shanking Bip's thread. He loves the attention that comes with the low post count.
lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

Why exactly did Bip lose his post count again? I think I was taking a vacation when all that occurred.

The post count sanction is the highest sanction Martin and Andrew can impose short of the nuclear option (total destruction of a user's account and ban from the forum). This sanction should be used with extreme care under the guiding principles employed by the United Nations. What I am wondering is whether there was a proper UN resolution before this extreme sanction was imposed. Was diplomacy utilized? Was there an attempt to impose the lesser "lock down" sanction (where all your original topic threads are locked). We need Sec. Clinton to get on this as soon as she is finished with Iraq. Perhaps Bill Clinton can broker an agreement.

This is why Bip's post count was reset. Martin and Andrew spelled it out in blood.

Should Rookie's post count be taken away for suggesting that Bip's be restored? Kinda like a circular firing squad.

The arrogance of the moderating powers has been evident since the birth of this once great message board. There was no diplomacy. There were no conversations. No votes. No sanctions. I didn't even recieve the courtesy of a threat. Instead the moderators of the West decided how many posts that I deserved. As a poster that believes in true freedom and the sanctity of the post count I reject this encroachment upon my sovereignty.

There always the Tea-Party idea. You could try deleting your own posts - maybe that'll catch their attention.

Better yet - leave for a week, and when Martin and Andrew realize this place can't operate without you, demand your post count restored before you come back.
