Bonn, I understand that you're a half-baked intellectual at a lower-level university -- Still, you don't have to display your childish heart-bleed-liberal values ever where you go. I get enough of you types at the train station...with the tiny glasses, old shoes, and bad short-sleeve button shirts. You might be a PhD (though that has lost some weight in recent decades), but you're still weak at heart.
this was pretty good. I mean.. if your going to be a psycho might as well be creative and articulate. Good stuff.

Anyway... franchise players... for me its a perrenial all star type that would build a team or style of play around. Yao, Paul, Wade, Deron Williams, Dirk, Nash, Vince (a couple years ago), KG are all guys I would call franchise players. I would say there are 15-18 guys I would call franchise. Howard, Kobe, Lebron, Duncan.. those are the elite guys and almost in a group of their own.

For arguements sake Bosh and Amare are fringe. Amare if he's healthy and I think he will be

get it straight for once fish - there's only one franchise......

No state income tax versus Canadian income taxes, Miami's climate versus Toronto's, the reality that even if you want to stay others will not come via free agency versus desired location/franchise. Bosh leaves or never wins anything.

Bon Bon my favorite poster only behind Marv because he drinks like a woman

btw

Everyone it doesn't matter where you live if your making millions of dollars. Anything as at your fingertips with the right amount of money. So these debates about what city is better is absurd because sure for average working people these things matter but not for a multi-millionaire.

You don't find 54-28 in the Western Conference compared to 47-35 in the East different ? Portland has a decent chance to be the 2nd seed in the West, which makes them a contender. Atlanta is looking at a 4-7 seed in the East.

to use standards that many have in the forum, what is 54 wins in the regular season if you can't advance in the post season? a joe johnson led atlanta team actually advanced last year...

my point is that alot of players are important to their franchises. that's what makes them a franchise player. those players make a lot of money for their franchises and alot of them represent their team well in the community and other avenues. your list is basically who the best players in the league are...but i argue that type of list of the creme of the crop does not apply to what a franchise player is. yao ming, chris bosh, roy, joe johnson, deron williams...these guys are franchise players too.

GREAT definition. Now all we have to do is pay David Lee the max, and by your definition we will have a franchise player.

Franchise players are not created equal. A Whopper Jr. you buoght 15 minutes ago doesn't taste like the one you just bought. Yeah they're both Whopper Jr.s but only one is the true hotness.

lebron is the only franchise player. anybody else the knicks sign will make you pout.

Taxes go up but your not buying health insurance anymore.

No, I am. I mean, if i want private insurance, I can pay for it. But I still have to pay in ObamaCare. How is that fair? No thanks on keeping worthless individuals alive, the ones that don't contribute, but rather destroy, our society. Thank you, thank you very much. Keep that in mind.

OK I'll bite, who appointed you judge jury and executioner of human worthiness?
