Pepa could house Roberson.

Almond, who was drafted 25th over all in 2007, is the rare first-round pick who did not have his third-year option picked up, making him an unrestricted free agent.

“Everybody’s path is different,” he said, betraying no bitterness toward the Jazz. “That’s just kind of how the ship sailed.”

As a summer-league player, Almond has no obligation to the Knicks, but he seems eager to stick with them.

“New York is the team that asked me to come to summer league,” Almond said, “so this is who I want to play for.”

Almond just needs a chance to play. He went to the wrong team IMO. He fits here with what we want to do. He actually has good athletic ability, he just isn't a high energy player. He can get up when he needs to tho. I don't care about that. H2O wasn't exactly Vince Carter! He just needs to do what a SG does... SHOOT.

He didn't look slow to me at all. He got down the floor very quickly. He gave effort on D. Not bad from what I saw.
