Maybe the Basketball Operations staff is practicing its presentation skills this month on Kidd & Hill for the presentation next month to Hill's teammate, Stevie Nash.

True, but Kidd has made a lot of money and could still make a lot of money even with a lesser offer from NY. If he really wants to be back here, he can definitely make it happen. How much is Dallas gonna want to offer him anyway?

Players rarely take less money. Kidd will be no exception, personally in think he is using the Knicks to up Dallas's offer.

Yeah but if the Knicks are limited to the MLE and Dallas is already offering more, how much is it really gonna impact what Dallas is willing to pay him? I think it is somewhat curious that NY was Kidd's first visit. With his family here, there is definitely an ok chance that there could be more to it than money.

Yo with a world class point guard like Kidd playing....he can tell you who is missing out on the floor....what's lacking....I think D'antoni and Kidd share the same basketball mind....Donnie as well....this could get very interesting.

What makes you think Kidd will turn down a bigger Dallas offer. When it is all said and done money talks.

I'll admitt the chances are slim...but he is the one that few to NY and had a 3 hr visit with everyone...if he wasn't at least thinking about it then I dunno what you wanna call it....

I don't even like Jason Kidd and still sore for him destroying us when he was in NJ....still I know what he brings...

Click the link and view his career stats....I wanna know where did they fall off to the poitn where guys are saying he sucks now...the man is still putting up numbers. He's still a world class point guard...he still averages 2 steals a game...81 game season. Dude is another John Stockton.

Kidd's wife had a career starting when they were in NJ. So maybe we should start looking at what the potential household income could look like... and anyone else think Kidd wants to run show at MSG?

His production is still VERY good. He's the best rebounding PG in the game and one of the top passers still. I don't get why people have lost interest in him either.

SportsCenter just said that both Dallas and the Knicks are offering 3 years and $25 million

Donnie.... Donnie, Donnie, Donnie...

What are you doing!?!

You know how many good-to-great players you could pull if you agreed to take on three years of salary? Why sign Kidd?

Trade for Gerald Wallace if you're going to do that.

I hope this is all nonsense, because Donnie wasted so many assets at the deadline last year if he's not going to stick to the 2010 plan.
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

Gerald Wallace is a small fwd and the Knicks already have Wilson, Al Harrington who are already on Geralds level and Gallo who preobably will get there this season....

Knicks need a point guard....Kidd at 70 is still better than anybody not named Chris Paul/Nash

If Donnie does that, he might as well just sign Lee and Nate to what they want and throw 2010 out the window. That's over 8 million a year.

The report is clearly false (or misheard) as the Knicks cannot offer Kidd a contract of that magnitude. The max Knicks offer would start at the mid level exception mark and go for 3 years...so a total of ~18M.

Maybe they're saying that's what the Knicks would offer Kidd in a sign and trade?

You've got a point there.

If we give anyone 3 years and $18 million, it should be Ariza just to make up for that retarded Francis trade.

How nice would it be to have Chandler and Ariza guarding mofo's out on the perimeter?

Duhon, Ariza, Chandler, Gallo/Al Jr, Hill/Darko

Pick up a bargain point guard and we'd be looking decent.

knicks are offering kidd 3 years at $6-8 mil a year.
they are offering lee 4 years at $7-8 mil a year.

that's adding basically $12 mil of contracts for 2010. doesn't make sense.

Years might be the question here. If the Knicks give kidd 4 years at the MLE it may sway Dallas into giving him an extra year, they maybe think that why lose Kidd for number of years. They throw that extra year out there and now Kidd is looking smart. I think the Kidd's camp is trying to work on the years with Dallas.

DW knows what he's doing. Maybe he feels he has a market for Curry and Jeffries? Or has something worked out for them?
