I don't think we have anything GS wants for Curry, unless they like DG, which I doubt. Curry is a pipe dream right now but we can still get Rubio. If we offer Chandler, cash, and maybe a future pick, I would have to think that Minny would consider it. They need a SF bad. Brewer has been a bust and they just traded Mike Miller. Chandler is still young and would move right into their starting lineup. They would have Flynn, McCants, Chandler, Love, and Harrington. They would still suck, but they at least would have a competent SF.

Rubio, Hughes, Harrington, Lee, and Curry, with Hill and Nate and DG on the bench is a pretty solid team.

GS would want Hill or some kind of S&T deal for Lee. They had promised Hill they would take him if he was still available when they picked, but supposedly the Amare offer sidetracked that deal.

I think Hill will have a better career then Curry. I also think you always take big over small unless the small's talent dwarfs the bigs and I don't see that with Curry. I think Hill will be one of the top 5 guys from this draft when all is said and done.

Wow. It appears as if people are foregoing the Shawn Marion potential in Chandler.

I would have done that deal if I were Walsh. Chandler is a small price to pay for the #5. I don't know if I select Rubio at 5 though I think I go for Curry and let Minny take Rubio at 6.

Now, that's a lot of what if - but if it happened....

Now think this: We do the Wizard deal and take a risk on Curry.
We then consummate a Rubio deal - something that Rubio and Walsh are trying hard to accomplish.

Darko
Hill
Gallo
Curry
Rubio

Lack of reasonable risk taking cost us Curry--there is no other way around it. A major major blunder.

Yeah, I dont get it...I thought Chandler was a 21 y/o up and coming young talent. Oh well, he plays for us, so he has to be expendable.

If you want to go that route, Rubio is an 18 year old with once in a generation passing ability. I like Chandler for what he could potentially become. I will say that Chandler would be significantly easier to replace than Rubio though

See this is that hype that Jennings was talking about. Rubio is very limited on offense, and I have questions about whether he can physically withstand the NBA...but all it takes is a few youtube clips of his And-1 passes, and cats are ready to give up the world just for the opportunity to draft him. Chandler is a rising talent in the league, but that seemingly means nothing.

And I agree with Phar...the media is totally giving him a pass over his diva behavior, when players that have done less have been ridiculed.
