Thats what I've said a million times.

My only hope is that Jordan plays a little bit of a different game (less *****) than previous Arizona big men before him. Thats my only hope.....

Hill can be tremendous as a mid-range threat/finisher on the pick and roll. The need is still there for a point guard who can play the 2 man game.

You don't think Douglas will be able to do that?

We need a starting point guard.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

A team's UFA's create what's called a "cap hold" against that team's salary cap. That number is decided by some formula based on some percentage or something. In order to have their maximum cap space, the Knicks will have to renounce the Bird Rights for their UFA's which would release their "cap holds". That's what the Clips did with Elton Brand to make room to sign Baron Davis. Then Brand ditched them because they couldn't outbid Philly.

Jordan Hill is a solid pick at #8... you guys who are booing him now will be cheering him soon enough.

You dont think hes a little bit Wilcox/Mikki ie top performance = 13/8?

i think he's Amare Lite / Antonio Davis on roids... he's gonna be a very good player for us, wait & see... woulda rather had Derozan only cuz of his upside but i can't complain about Hill, he was #3 on my wishlist for this draft.
totally agree... until teams became enamored with some of these guards Hill was the #2 or #3 pick for most of the year in all the mocks. Knicks go great talent, and a PERFECT fit for an MDA team. I am very happy with this

I met him right before he went to zona, he is my best friends cousin. Nice kid, but I had questions about his game. He didn't look good vs louisville's front line.. I want him to do well, because he is a knick and the cousin of my best friend, but I don't know. I thought we would have taken a shot at a guy like derozan...

But par for the course, we knew dumb as bricks GS would take curry and minny would just mess up the draft with taking two PG's back to back.. a bunch of idiots, and now, word is rubio really doesn't want to be there..... like that was a suprise..

TMS, I don't think that is correct.

we do have to relinquish their cap hold in order to get max cap space if they take the QO. when we relinquish their cap hold, we lose their bird rights and can't go over the cap to re-sign them.

D'Antoni is on drugs.

Amare was a raw teenager with unbelievable speed and athleticism for a big man with a ton of room to grow as a player.

Hill is at his ceiling. he's a more athletic KT. this is like Zeke's Frye is Wallace sales job.

Mike needs Nash more than ever to apply enough window dressing for MDA to make it thru two more years

Just curious, who did you want McK1?
You were praying for no Curry or Rubio. Now bashing Hill. Who was your pick?
Not saying I love the Hill pick, just curious who you wanted.

How many great big men at major colleges lead their teams to 18-14 records and finish off by getting his arse kicked in the interior of their last game? Jordan Hill wouldnt have been drafted in the top 40 last year and he went 8--I guess it shows you what a shtty draft this was but I maintain that there was value in moving back. Jordan Hill should be better than Frye but comparing him to Amare Stoudemire is just plain out of this world dumb. I hope the plan isnt get rid of David Lee to let Darko and Hill lead us to the promised land --it will be tough enough watching the Jazz take our top 5 pick next year.

Jordan Hill to me is a real power fwd...his motor is nice and he is a presence inside...Lee isn't a presence. Jordan actually bangs and establishes himself. You are gonna know he is in the game...and not cuz of his dreads.

I like the pick...I also like Darko in the mix as well. Lots of cry babies on talk radio but the Knicks significantly upgraded the front court...Knicks won't be the bitch of the league anymore.

completely agree... he's a physical presence down in the paint & is gonna make guys think twice before penetrating into the lane for easy layups... u ain't gonna see no Jazz hands defense w/this guy... he's gonna bring it on both ends of the floor, i'm telling u right now.

Everyone keeps bringing up with Channing Frye...right off the bat Jordan Hill is way more active. Their motors are completely night and day....

Go Knicks!!!

The only comparison to Frye is that they are from Arizona. Nothing more.

Holiday Jennnings or Derozan. would've understood Henderson.

Only NY can have the 8 pick in a guard draft and take a forward.
the stop underrating David Lee movement 1. FIRE MIKE 2. HIRE MULLIN 3. PAY AVERY 4. FREE NATE!!!

Yes if you relinquish their cap hold you lose their bird rights. I was disagreeing with TMS' statement that you cannot...

use the Bird Exception rule to go over the cap to sign your own FA's if you already have cap space

Whether or not the Knicks would have to release Lee and Nate if they were to have signed QOs depends on how much cap space is available and how much would be needed to sign the FAs they want.
