They let people get up to 4 tickets this year. Last year it was 2. Hence the fact they went fast and people are already trying to sell them for crazy prices like douchebags.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

for me, going to the draft itself was less interesting than following it on TV. With TV you get more background and stories and rumors, etc.

Yeah, last year was the first time I went and it wasn't as good as I expected. The thing I like about it though is I work on West 34th so I'm right near MSG during the week and it was fun to meet up with a couple of friends and get a good buzz going before going to the actual thing live. Lol, getting interviewed by some Boston reporter about the Gallo pick was pretty funny too.

Oh well, will just go to a bar instead and watch it there.

I cursed out a guy on Ebay. Dude bought 10 tickets and is selling them for $100 each.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

haha good stuff, I can't believe they upped it to 4 tix each

that was retarded especially since they should have anticipated more people knowing about the all-access thing this year

i think we should set up a UK meetup at a sports bar & watch the draft... or at someone's crib so we can hear all the commentary & crap.

That sucks, I never got the box then. I used the same link (the one from the email).

Oh well, hopefully prices drop on stubhub (I think last year the lowest they got to was around $55).

Wow, that seems severely overpriced to me.

Yeah $55 is way too much. Don't get me wrong, being at the draft is fun, but you miss out on a lot too. They don't report trades/rumors till like 15 minutes after everyone else at home knows. So unless you are browsing the internet on your phone, you kind of miss out on a lot of information.

I think me and some friends will just meet up at ESPN Zone and watch it there, will probably be more fun anyway.

Yo s3231, you said last year's prices went down to $55 but were they sold? Don't these dudes have to unload the tickets to make some sort of profit or do they not care and just give the tickets away to their family/go themselves if they can't sell them? I mean as the day approaches, they should try and lower them to get something, even a $5 profit. Or are they just that greedy? The ticket broker on Ebay definitely wont go to the draft seeing as though he has 9 ****ing tickets in different areas. He's gonna have to drop the prices really low, don't you think? Or does he not care because he wont lose much money anyway?
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Ok dudes, I'm going!
George,

Thank you for previously contacting us regarding the NBA Draft ticket pre-sale. We're sorry that you were unable to secure tickets during last week's pre-sale. Fortunately, we have been able to make additional tickets for the event available to you for purchase prior to the event.

Beginning now through Wednesday, June 24th, you can purchase your tickets through this link:
http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1D0042A5C4BC6238?artistid=1331041&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=7

When prompted, please enter this code into the "NBA Draft Private Sale" password box:

This code is for your use only and is valid for only one (1) transaction. The ticket limit for this private pre-sale is two (2) tickets per qualified person. Note that additional tickets will be available to the public at the Madison Square Garden Box Office on June 25, 2009 beginning at 11:00am.

And now the legal language: This offer is a non-transferable, revocable license that is extended solely to you as an NBA All-Access member. By redeeming this offer to purchase a ticket to the Event, you agree to be bound by the terms of this license. This offer (and any ticket purchased pursuant to this offer) may not be used for any form of commercial or trade purposes, including, but not limited to, advertising, promotions, contests or sweepstakes, without the express written consent of the National Basketball Association (the "NBA") and/or its affiliates. Resale, attempted resale, or any other transfer or attempted transfer of this offer (or a ticket purchased pursuant to this offer) is grounds for seizure or cancellation without refund or other compensation.

If you have any issues purchasing the tickets, please feel free to contact me directly.

Thanks for being an NBA fan and hope you enjoy the event.

My complaints to the NBA worked. I got this email today and I was able to purchase 2 tickets. There may still be something available so check it out.
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Dear George,

This code is for your use only and is valid for only one (1) transaction. Post it on the Internet and risk that someone will beat you to the punch and you will be a sucka without tickets.

Love, the Internet

No clue if they sold or not, just remember that tix were getting cheaper as the draft was approaching. If they couldn't sell them, they probably just ended up going to the draft themselves.

BTW, congrats on getting the tix!!
