![]() Was covered on the Outside the Line story piece on Mobley a couple of weeks ago. The conclusion was that the Knicks knew of Mobley's health issue before the trade and was hinted that the condition didn't change just that the Knicks alerted Mobley that the condition could be more serious than the Rockets and Clippers led him to believe. Once ESPN went back to Walsh with that piece of info, Walsh refused to give any follow up info about Mobley. The NBA denied Mobley's medical exemption based on the belief that the Knicks were fully aware of his condition prior to the trade.

![]() Posted by Pharzeone: Even if true I still don't see all the uproar over the trade - or - how the Knicks "(mis)handled" Mobley. It was a good trade for our future and always will be a good trade for our future. It could have been a good trade for the short term but it did not pan out and the short term is a completely isolated era from our long term goals. I liked the deal then and I like it now. I just don't understand the controversy. http://popcornmachine.net/ A must-use tool for NBA stat junkies!
