Both are almost identical in terms of skill set imo.

But I'd give Amare the edge because he plays with more fire and desire.

Amare has had multiple injuries (some that may well affect his play a few years down the track), Bosh hasn't.

neither has Zach Randolph... doesn't mean i'd rather have him than Amare either.

I'd give Amare a slight edge in ability, but I'd give Bosh a big edge in character. All in all, I'd go with Bosh.

Amare and Gallo would be the best tandem of any team's DL

And when Zach becomes an elite athlete who's made multiple all-star appearances and played well enough to earn the respect to be put on our olympic team, then he can join the discussion. Otherwise, he's irrelevant.

I like Bosh as well, but Amare is more physical and plays with more zeal and fire. Bosh looked somewhat insid last season. I would give Amare the advantage because he seems to be the type who can carry a team as needed. Bosh less so.

Things change very quickly. Not too long ago Amare had bad knees and Bosh carried his team to about a 50 win season. Both are awesome and it seems premature to compare them. In a few months, many people may revise their conclusions anyway given how fast things change.

Agree, its a hard choice between those two and perceptions do change over time. I wouldn't be mad if we got either one. Right now its advantage Amare in my mind, by the ime season starts for 2009 it may be different again.

funny Bosh is the Rodney Dangerfield of bigs. First Shaq, then Zach, now Stat are going in on him.

He gets no respect.

this is true. and the whole time, he just stays quiet going about his business...

Bosh is a damn good player, but not as good as Amare... we'd be lucky to get Bosh too in 2010 for that matter.

Knicks should trade for Bosh. Toronto will want to get something for him. I doubt that teams like the Warriors and others will trade assets for a one year rental. Bosh will attract another big wing. That is how you impress the Lebrons and Wades of the world.

i agree, i think the Knicks should make a serious play for either Amare or Bosh this year using Lee, Nate, Harrington, Hughes & either Gallo or whoever we pick in the lottery as assets, & i think Walsh is planning on doing just that.

Why would you throw in you young players knowing that Amare is going to bolt from the Suns. You should just stop at Lee, Nate, Harrington and Hughes no need to add anymore.

because we're not getting him w/just Lee, Nate & Harrington.

You have the option of waiting the Suns out. If they don't take the deal without the young players the Knicks will just sign him next year to a contract and they get nothing.

Bad example since Zach had the same microfracture as Amare

if amare truly is better, it's only marginally...bosh is a better person, and i would rather have a strong character guy than a jerk.

Yea, but he doesn't play as hard. Its about time we get someone who is willing to play hard.

Which one doesn't play as hard? Amare's been criticized for only going half effort many times, especially on defense. A 6'10", 250 lb athletic freak should NOT be getting only 8.1 rebounds a game in 37 minutes a game.

Whoa! First of all, he went real hard at Chris Bosh. Players are usually pretty diplomatic when asked questions like that, but Amare went in. Secondly, players rarely lobby to go to a specific team like that. Wow, that quote made my day, we are officially an attractive destination --- Walsh just needs to make something happen.

he said later the same day on an ESPN washington radio station that he would fit in great with the wizards. the guy is on a campaign.
