Posted by loweyecue: tell me about it....i coulda used Kareem, Reed, Shaq, Ewing, Moses Malone, Ralph Sampson, Bill Walton, Dikembe Mutombo(sp?), Robert Parish.....All those guys have had dominant performances in the playoffs against superior talent... Somebody out there needs to get on TV and blast Dwight Howard for daring to call himself dominant. He has some nerve. Subscribe to my Podcast https://youtube.com/c/DiehardknicksPodcast

Posted by EnySpree:Posted by loweyecue: Exactly what i was thinking, these guys are playing in todays Centerless league kill me. DH would be as avg as they come against the centers of the 80s and early 90s. He's as one demsional as they come. Even Curry had dominated him on one occasion. You can only run a pick n roll with him, unless he's in trasition. Give me a break all he does is dunk ES

Dwight came straight outta HS... dude's 23, let's be real here... he's got a long ass career ahead of him... there isn't 1 Knick fan here who wouldn't trade away everything we have to get a guy like that to build around.

Posted by EnySpree: Damn. The didnt call his ass The Dream for nothing. When his fadeaway was popping you were helpless, cause those crazy ass ball fakes would have you jumping out of your socks. Did the same kind of stuff to Shaq and especially Ewing. Ol' boy would embarrass you My saliva and spit can split thread into fiber and bits/ So trust me I'm as live as it gets.

LOL. Love to see Olajuwon, Shaq, Ewing, ext... put up average stats in big games and still have the nerve to get on TV and call themselves dominant.
Howard smiles too damn much. My saliva and spit can split thread into fiber and bits/ So trust me I'm as live as it gets.

Shaq is probably the most dominant bigman to ever play the game outside of Wilt... Does Dwight have to measure up to that level of dominance to validate him as a dominant NBA Center? not in my opinion... right now he's dominating the competition he's up against... judging him against greats of the past is a fruitless waste of time just like it is in any sport. Here is the big difference between Shaq and howard: You could always give the ball to Shaq in the post and he scored on his man 75%, fouling out entire front lines all by himself.
On the other hand, Howard relies on offensive rebounding and plays where he can get some momentum to leap over his man to get a lot of his points. If you give the ball to Howard in the post he has a lot of trouble scoring on his man. (Except against the Knicks) If you look at Shaq as a Rookie, he had better numbers than Howard has put up yet. oohah Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!
