So, about the show, I wonder if Jack's plan worked? Did the bomb reset everything so that Flight 815 never crashes? If so, is everyone who died along the way alive? If so, does that mean Jack's plan closed the loophole that was used to kill Jacob? If so, does that mean that Jacob is now prepared for what's coming and will have a plan? Is this the progress Jacob was talking about?

I think that the whole purpose that one side (Faraday? Widmore? Ben? Alpert?) is trying to change the past might be so that Locke never ends up in a position to "kill" Jacob. I think that's what this whole finale is gonna build up towards.

I didn't think they would just end the show with the bomb going off, but I guess I should have known there'd be a major cliffhanger. I guess next season starts with the answers to some big questions.

yea it was shocking, eViL. i really wanted some closure after this season, but, alas... hopefully next season ties some stuff together.

i think the closure is that the time travel storyline was somewhat of a failure and once faraday died - it signalled the death of time travel. they will all be back at the same time, but we won't know in what world.

season 2 and season 5 were very similar in that it led up to an event where a failsafe/bomb was activated and ended with a flash of white light. and both season revolved around dharma. so i'm guessing next season will reflect season 1. how and in what way, i'm not sure...but i could see this as some of the possible endings to lost:

1 - jack waking up in the jungle
2 - this time we see kate waking up in the jungle
3 - the plane lands in LA and desmond keeps pushing the button
4 - the plane crashes and everyone dies
