So why come didn't trade Jeffries and Nate to SAC?

who knows. Maybe SAC demanded a first rounder, maybe Walsh thought they could get a better deal down the road, maybe Walsh thought that there was a chance to make the playoffs at the time.

who knows and who cares. It certainly doesn't mean Walsh wont trade JJ and/or Nate later, and it certainly doesn't mean they want to keep them either.

or maybe that deal was never discussed to begin with? Walsh categorically denied there was any truth to that rumor... should we listen to "unnamed sources" that come up w/those rumors or take it straight from the horse's mouth?

What does it matter, if we aren't even suppose to believe him according to Martin and nyk4ever. That trade proposal came out of Sacramento. It was very detail. Even the golden boy Hahn confirmed that Sacramento wanted Nate that bad.

UPDATE - 3:34 p.m. - The Kings tried to get Nate Robinson from the Knicks and offered to take Jared Jeffries' contract as incentive. The Knicks would have taken back Kenny Thomas' deal, which expires in 2010. So the Knicks could have saved $6.8M off the cap in 2010-11. But in the end, as close as this one came to happening, Donnie Walsh turned it down. - Alan Hahn

Ah, come on, TMS. It's wasn't just Hahn and you know it. And like I said everyone around here said that Walsh will say anything and it would be naive to take him at his word. It can't work both ways. You can only believe it only if it comes out of his mouth but you shouldn't believe it if it does. It's just basketball man, life shouldn't be this complicated.

i don't care what anyone around here says either... no one knows jack sheit about what goes on behind the scenes & my guess is most sports writers don't either... it's all rumors & conjecture... personally i choose to take Walsh at his word over any fans on a message board or 3rd party unnamed sources.

just a quick question: if only 2 people will remain, and one basically didn't play all year, then what foundation was actually set?

You have to tear the whole thing down before you can set a foundation.

the house that is built on sand will eventually sink.

Usually houses built on sand are owned by rich people, and they usually get them rebuilt after a hurricane or other natural disaster...

ur right... & those rich people are probably snorting coke off the tits of hot blonde escorts on a private jet headed to Rio right about now... so the moral of the story is, if you're rich, i hate you hey, save some coked up blondes on a G6 for me, I am there!

Dude- you need to check your keyboard. I fixed your post for you.

Trade... Trade... Trade...

I bought a radio for 15 cents once in Jerusalem. Took me 9 hours of bargaining and a 45 minute sit down with the store owner at the hookah, but I got my radio.
I just hope that people will like me
