Why wasn't the bailout also to help people who haven't yet had the opportunity to buy homes? Why push them further away?
I highly doubt the Republicans in Congress would let that happen. Those are the last people the Republicans are concerned about. There is a lot money in the stimulus bill for education and infrastructure programs, which should eventually help the people you're thinking about.

Being one of them, unfortunately, no, it has no impact on me but will cost me a lot.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

A) You're getting a tax cut unless you make over $250K;
B) It's very short-sighted to think that a better educated America with better infrastructure will have no impact on you IMO

Sorry Bonn, I was talking specifically about the bailout and if you go through the terms, you'll understand better. There was a breakdown on yahoo after it was agreed upon and none of the items applied to me (and no, I don't make $250k). Sure, we can use every line in the book or excuse but the fact is that the way the bailout was structured was very unbalanced.

My point was that non-homeowners aren't going to be targeted in every piece of legislation (in this case the bank "bailouts," which are really just loans) but people in your group will be helped by his tax cuts.

That remains to be seen. Remind me of this thread next year around this time and I'll give a comparison. My initial expectation is that there will be almost no difference for me. [smile]
