what's the deal with alexander not getting burn?

last year this forum's big east-lovers were all over him.

[Edited by - PresIke on 03-10-2009 8:36 PM]

Charlie V is having a really good and unexpected season which has kept Alexander on the bench.

ironic how he was another big east-man love recipient (well, more nyc-born-and-bred) fav, who has never been consistent.

all and all, we do tend to see big east players more, and are from the region so it is understandable.

Wilcox, 3 fouls in 4 minutes...yikes, and then d'antoni saying to the ref that's about 4 times you've missed the call for us.

i think the issue goes deeper than that when guys like Malik Allen & Keith Bogans are averaging more minutes per game than he is... i don't think he's ready yet.

dr is showing the classic case of some world cup soccer teams (and team usa b-ball until last olympics) with star studded lineups against far worse talented teams.

i'll tell you this about milwaukee...if the game is close, milwaukee will hit a crazy # of shots down the stretch of games. they do not miss shots at home down the stretch of games. it's a phenomenon i can't quite explain...but ridnour, sessions, charlie v...nobody will miss in the final 4 mins of a close game.

hey, canada who should have advanced, was eliminated in two games, and at home.

not so sure about this double elimination thing, it matters too much how you play in the first game, but you think you have more games. it is nothing like professional baseball playoffs, so how do you prepare mentally. just make it single elimination or a regular group.

big "ayi" papi pops up with a man on.

they in big trouble....

now back to the knick game..

that's baseball man. 1 pitcher can shut down any team.

now it's 0-0 going to the 8th. netherlands already beat them 3-2 a few days ago in a huge upset. 2nd loss eliminates the DR...unreal...

I don't think the Bucks (Scott Skiles) are that high on Alexander. I would love for Donnie to put in an offer for him. He's very quick, he can take the ball to the hoop, he can shoot, he can board, he can D up. You just get the feeling he can be had relatively cheaply at the moment.

only automatic advancement was japan since they won it in 2006. they lost 2 games already but it they get an automatic semifinal placement.

the US have a killer pool in the semifinals - japan will have to only beat korea.

Chandler, Gallo and Alexander would be a very good young group of players that could play multiple positions.

yeah, and especially when you're not familiar with them.

you see that with young pitchers who do well or when a pitcher switches leagues too.

which is why the wbc as it stands, is going to produce a lot of upsets, i think.
