Duhon is a back up PG playing starters minutes. This is normally what happens to back-ups when they get extended minutes. Their weaknesses are exposed. That's why they are back-ups. The man has exceeded my expectations and I am very happy with the effort he has given us this year and am not going to kill myself being upset with his play. Our PG of the future is probably not on this roster
my God, if it weren't for u i would probably have gone insane a long time ago arguing w/these mamalukes.
You and me broham. You and me. We'll get each other through these tough times
This is a landmark season, cuz I don't think i've ever had a season where I agreed with you as much as this one. Bip's take is right on the button. WE ALL said that Duhon was pretty much a career backup and he was just holding the spot until we found our permanent starting PG. Some felt he was going to completely fail as a starter and others felt he would do OK. My point has been that once he played above expectations, many refused to admit he was playing better than they ever thought he could and now that we've pretty much burned him out and overexposed him, those who disliked him are coming out of the closet to pounce on him.
Let's be honest, is it Duhon's fault that he's not the starting PG we need? He's just being what he is. Even if we had another decent PG like him it would've helped. Yeah he's a pro, but the NBA is a marathon and we made him sprint the whole way and now he's gassed. This pace is higher than he's ever played and he's logged more minutes in a short amount of time than is reasonable to expect. But that's just an excuse for some of us! How about just admitting it's a REASON he's falling off and not just an excuse. Duhon isn't a stud. Guys like that are made to play starter minutes, he needed help and never got it, so now when we need him he's got little left. I hope he can get a second wind but it may be too late.
