I don't see all of the hoopla over Melo. He did score 50 but he still averages the same amount of points as the Stephen Jackson (32 years old I think)and has less assists and has less steals. This is not me saying we should go after Jackson or I think Jackson is on Melo's level but what I am saying is, other than his scoring Carmelo is not remarkable in any other part of his game. He lacks leadership skills, he is not a consistent defender and has not significantly impacted his team or raised there standing in the league despite having some pretty good pieces around him.

The funny thing is, some actually believe that he can come over here and lead this team to anything significant without us surrounding him with just as much of an upgrade that our current roster would need to get over the hump.

Hey John, I respect your opinion but I really don't think Melo is worth the money he is going to want if he comes here.
